Tonight was the night.
The dance.
The moment I would one-up Jessie in front of everyone in the school.
Mother lent me a sari, in which Yuan added jade accessories to. I packed an extra outfit: a purple flannel t-shirt with blue jeans and boots with the fur on the inside. (Plus my glasses)
When I got there, everyone was staring. The guys, AND girls.
Ooh! Racked up MAJOR jealousy points.
"Fair maiden, what is your name?" William, the guy who acted like a prince said.
I slapped him.
"Alicia Feliciana Vargas-Beverly." I answer, touching his red cheek.
"You look so pretty, Allie!" (Y/N) said to me.
"Nice. You do too." I complement. She's wearing a golden dress that fanned out with a huge bow attached at the waist with sapphire earrings. (My father cuts jewels, so he knows every type of jewel)
At first, the party is extremely dead. In that dead-pan nothingness, I get up and start dancing with Kevin. He steps on my sari a few times, but he gets it. "Easy, child." I say to him. He's going to fast.
I then go into overdrive. I spin him across the floor and back to get everyone to start dancing. I danced some salsa and mixed it up. Like my family, basically.
"I'm going to go change. This sari is wrapped up." I told Shope, Tyler, Roach, and (Y/N).
....
I came back out, and I saw Yuan, Mother, Father, and Achmed. The floor had been cleared, even though the party was pumpin'.
"KILL THE MUSIC!" Jessie yelled. Everything was silent.
Yuan gave me my CD and I gave it to the DJ.
Yuan's song was first. She picked out a song from an anime. It was about World War II or something like that. The song was pumpin', and I had to do my moves quick. It was over in a few minutes.
Achmed's song was next. It was 'Beware of the Boys'. Me and Achmed both like the song. Achmed knew ALL the lyrics, and I swear I heard him yelling to the lyrics.
My song was third. I chose the song 'We No Speak Americano' and based my moves from Just Dance. I also moved swiftly, like I was on the marble floors at home.
The song that all three of us picked (Well, me and Yuan {the majority} picked): Timber. I even had a rope, which I used to lasso Kevin to the dancefloor and back.
"Is that all you got, bitch?!" Jessie said arrogantly.
She gave her CD, and it was 'Can't Touch This'.
Damn.
She did the moves really, really, really, badly. She didn't even do the main move right. Once the song was over, the DJ yelled,
"Who do you think won?!"
Of course, everyone cheered my name. (Well, Yuan and Father in Chinese and Achmed and Mother in Indian)
....
After the dance battle, I put my sari back on and saw (Y/N) looking at Tyler dancing with Amy.
"You gonna ask him to dance?" I asked her, sitting beside her.
"He looks like he's having fun. Wouldn't want to spoil that." She answered.
To be honest, I thought she was getting more mature and being used to Tyler liking Amy.
"C'mon. Just dance with him once." I egged her on. "Also, have this for some Jade flare." I added, giving her Yuan's Jade necklace.
"Fine. But I doubt he'd do it." (Y/N) replied. She got up and walked over to him. At that time, Amy had walked off to get some punch. I went in for the kill.
"Hey, DJ, I'd like to request a slow dance." I said to the DJ.
The DJ put on the slow dance. I went over to Jessie and said, "You can dance with Kevin just this once." She seemed lonely, so why not mend her heart back together? She gave me a spine-crushing hug as she tangoed with Kevin.
The night was perfect. (Y/N) and Amy were slow-dancing with Tyler, and Jessie wasn't heartbroken.
Yep, even without a battleball, I saved the day.
Aside from that, Jock was hitting on Yuan, which I found hilarious when Achmed pretended to be her boyfriend and not her step-brother.
"Step off, white trash!" Achmed yelled.
"Go back to your alley, Aladdin!" Jock yelled back. When he said that, Achmed punched him the gut. Jock was about to bash his face in when something roared.
And it wasn't the extremely crappy dragon Jock had made as a punishment.
(A/N: Sorry for the extremely short chapter! There's another APH reference in there somewhere.)
