a/n: you'll never guess what I got for Christmas???? Not Dylan O'Brien :((((( hope everyone had a beautiful holiday and enjoy this special ((& long)) update :)))))
"You can understand why I'm worried, right?" You had tried on your fourth dress and sixth outfit and Dylan was already growing bored. Of course he loved catching a sneaky glimpse of you changing, but after the second outfit he couldn't have cared less.
"No because they'll love you because I love you." He looked at you over his phone when he spoke to you, but quickly resumed back to his mindless scrolling.
"Dylan," you whinged. This was the first time you were meeting his family and, especially for Christmas, you had to make the best impression.
"Seriously, (Y/N), you could wear anything and they'd be more impressed at the fact that you are real." He joked. You threw a denim skirt at him and he caught it by his heart. You rolled your eyes at him.
"Okay, you're not helping, get out." You shooed him off, pushing him out. He pleaded for you to let him stay, but you shoved him out.
You had an hour and a half to get ready. You finally settled on an outfit after deciding that Dylan was right, he did love you.
Once you are dressed, it was easy for you to quickly apply your makeup and pin up your hair. Dylan tried to sneak in while you were changing and used his 'I need to change too' for you to let him in the room.
"Okay final product," you did a drum roll with your mouth, vibrating your lips," here we go." You posed like they would on America's Next Top Model as a joke, but with his mouth slightly agape and eyes bulging out of their sockets, he was hypnotised by your beauty.
"You look so beautiful." He left the couch behind him and grab your hips. You let your hands find his shoulder, roaming over his chest on their way there.
"Thank you." You planted a quick kiss to his lips. "Okay, let's go before we're late." You jogged around the house in your heels, picking up the items you needed and stuffing them in a small clutch you had gotten from your sister.
Once you told your parents you would be spending Christmas with Dylan, they told you they had planned a cruise and we're going to recommend you spend Christmas with him anyways. Your sister planned to spend time with her friends and wasn't bothered on coming home for Christmas although you had invited her to Dylan's.
The drive to his parents house was dragging on, but only because you were nervous. There was a pit in the bottom of your stomach as you neared the location. Dylan told you some of the memories he had as you passed through his street leading up to his childhood home.
"Here we go," you watched him as he turned the steering wheel into a drive way. The house was decorated with some Christmas lights, but nothing too overwhelming or exaggerated.
You take a few deep breaths and he squeezes your hands. How could you not be nervous? You two had already been thinking about the rest of your lives together. You could be visiting his family every year if everything goes to plan tonight. "Alright," your voice is low, but he hears you. He turns the motor off and you both step out of the car. You don't make it to the door before the woman who you are assuming is his mother comes bursting out. She had an apron tied around her waist and kitten wedges strapped to her feet. She ignores the sight of her son and engulfs your body first. You look at Dylan and he's laughing, so you naturally wrap your arms around her.
