Chapter 27.

A/N:Hey guys! Yeah don't panic...I'm very much alive! 
        I know I updated after a month, but life's difficult, and I'm back anyway!

"Wh-what? How do you have thi-this bill?" I asked stammering, as I contemplated the reasons behind it.

1) Tessa could be the creep. (Which I really wanted to be wrong.)
2) It could be just planted here to make it look like It's Tessa's. (Yeah that sounds good.)
3) Tessa could really be the creep.
Tessa kept on staring at me like a deer caught in headlights, and I was giving her my special I'm-thinking-something-real bad-dare-to-interrupt look. Her mouth kept on opening and closing, no syllable coming out.

"Yo-you were the one?" I asked unsure, still wanting all of it to be a dream.
"Look Eliza, I know what you're thinking. I can explain I really can!" She pleaded.
How can it be? Tessa just can't be related in this shit, can she?
Just as I was about to ask her to give her explanation, there were loud knocks on the door.

"El! Open up" Cole's voice came from the other side. Seems like they've been knocking for a while now.
"Hey, if you two are doing the dirty... well stop then, pick up your clothes, wear them and open the damn door!"
Well Any guesses?
Yeah you're right, that was Madison.
"Wait right here, I'll be back." I said showing her the bill in my hand.
If I don't get the door right now, those goofs might just break-in.
"I was sleeping you knockhead!" I lied as I pulled open the door.
"Liar, You body alarm goes off, even before the sun thinks of it, So tell me what were you both up to?" She crooked her eyebrow waiting impatiently.
"I assume just 5 minutes before, you were ready to break in and now you're taking fancy in standing out here, Care to explain?" I asked dodging the crazy subject.
"Oh yeah" Cole said and looked over at Madison and then both of them looked back, and Claire and Andy were coming towards us, Andy's hand over Claire's shoulder, I smiled at them and they did too.
I grew confused when they stopped a few feet away from us.
"What? You'll are going to stand out too?" I asked.
They chuckled and shook their heads, and I was completely addled.
Claire and Andy separated, rather dramatically, and there stood behind them my goofball AKA Daren, in his white V-neck T-shirt and blue faded jeans.
"Daren" "El"
We both said at the same time, and then chuckled, I ran towards him and he gathered me instantly in his arms.
"I'm Sorry Ren, I shouldn't have done what I did, You were just looking out for me." I whispered.
"Hey, shh! It's alright, I'm sorry too, I shouldn't have ordered you, after knowing how you'd react, but I was too scared that all of this..."
I hushed him down by keeping a hand on his mouth.
"It's okay, I'm over it." I said.
I was so caught up in the moment that I almost forgot of the person who was waiting for me inside.
Tessa.
When I came in, she was gone.
of course, what did you think?
I saw Alex who was making toast and coffee.
"Hey, Um where's Tessa?" I asked gingerly.
"She said she had some work to do, she frantically ran out of the back door, since the front was quite busy." He said.
I chuckled at that.
"They thought we were doing something we shouldn't...." I said smirking.
He looked confused for a second and then she smirked mischievously, pulling me close to him, my body flushed against his chest.
"Ah like what? Making love?" He whispered, making me shiver and I blushed deep red. He kissed my cheek.
"I love that blush, sunshine." He said. I smiled brightly and looked at him from under my eyelashes. He groaned and dipped down to kiss me. It was a brief kiss, that turned into a slow one and then a bit wild when someone most typically announced their presence. Of course, by clearing their throat.
Why do they do it anyway?
"Well aren't you two keeping a little secret here. That's good, because I and Andy too kept it a secret I understand. I dint really want to disturb you or anything, El I just saw you and I was over the moon that my best friend finally got someone worth and Alex here is so lucky, you two look great. Oh what the hell am I even speaking? Well I just wanted to sat something, I probably shouldn't and trust our age long friendship more, but I think you just have to know this......" Claire kept on rambling and I grew more scared and Alex was simply giving her a confused look.
When Claire is scared about saying something or is nervous she goes on rambling, her last record was 5 minutes, when she lost Madison's favourite cat ,'Mr. Ripper' I know, as badass a cat could be.

"Claire, calm down, here have some water, take a deep breath and tell me , what is it?" I asked.
"Look Eliza, I don't really believe this, but I know what I saw, and I have it okay? I-I think, Daren has something to do with your texts...." Claire said.
I stared blankly at her. Not able to comprehend anything.
"Claire, are you sure?" Alex asked.
"Yes, When we were driving here, in Daren's car, something under my seat felt funny, I looked around and I found this...." She handed some paper's and I took them with shaky hands.

"These are the court orders for Phelps's release, the date is 5th march 2012, three years ago. He's out in the open, and you or none of us have no clue about it, except Daren. Eliza, I could be wrong, But this says otherwise.

I simply stared at the paper. Who do I believe? Why would Daren do this? Was this my best friend? My first love?
