Broken

Well shit, did someone really manage to sneak up on me. I take out my gun and turn around seeing a man in brown armor. I take safety off of the gun.
"Who are you and why are you here?" I ask
"I am Lopez the Heavy" he says. My gun is still pointed at him aiming right at his head.
"Well why are you here Lopez the Heavy?" I ask in spanish. He looks at me before answering.
"Donut sent me to look for the idiot in Orange, my father is not here so I have to  listen to Donut and he is an even bigger idiot"
"Hey Donut!" I yell out "get in here!" he walks in seeing me with my gun pointed at this Lopez guy.
"Oh Lopez there you are" he says "I told you to look for Griff"
"I was but this crazy bitch put a gun to my head" Lopez says
"Shut the fuck up Lopez the Heavy" I say angrily
"Woah, woah' Donut says "both of you calm down"
"Tell him to leave this area" I say a commanding tone in my voice.
"Alright, alright. Lopez could you please leave?"
"No"
"Leave now!"
"No"
    As I adjust my aim Wash comes in, carrying a few boxes. The man known as Lopez takes out his gun and points it at me. The boxes fall to the floor as Wash pulls out his sidearm and points it at Lopez the Heavy.
"Drop the gun" he says his voice angry.
"No"
    Wash takes safety off the gun. Someone comes into the room, just our luck it was Sarge.
"What's going on here?!" he asks his voice seeming rougher.
"Your robot here just came in here" Wash says "he pulled a gun on AZ"
"Lopez! get out of here!"
"Okay"
    I grumble as I put my gun away and pick up the boxes. I put them in the corner of the room. As we walk out of the Red base I keep thinking about what I am going to wear.
"Hey Wash?" I say
"Hm?"
"Do you know when everyone is going to get here?"
"I heard they'ed be here about a week before the dance itself"
I groan.
"Even Carolina?"
"Yes"
"No"
"You have to be nice"
"She's not staying in Blue Base"
"AZ"
"Or Red Base"
"Come on sis"
"She can sleep in the caves"
"Real mature"
"What?!"
"Nothing, let's just get back to base"

(Norths POV)

"Wait she stayed in his room last night?!" I ask slightly jealous.
"Yeah she said he was having one of his days... I think he might have some sort of PTSD" Viv replies.
"Well he shouldn't have MY Amanda in his room"
"Seriously Victor"
"Yes"
"You do know you two aren't together right"
"Yes but I bet if I propose to her she'll be so happy that she'll say yes!"
"..."
"Well how do I ask her?"
"When you see her tell her how pretty she is and ask her how she's been"
"Alright"
"Then later on in the night try to get her alone and get on one knee and ask her, nothing can go wrong"
"Would that mean that I get a mother?" Theta asks, causing both of us to laugh.
"Well Theta," I say "I don't know I think you would, but only if she says yes"
South smiles, then looks up as someone goes into her room.
"Miss South Dakota" it was the one that was asking AZ to make him food "I can't find Miss AZ and I'm worried"
"She went to Red Base Caboose" South says
"No! Miss AZ might be in trouble!"
"Calm down Caboose, she's gonna be back in a few minutes" I hear someone open and close a door, "that's them" South says.
"Okay bye now Miss South" I hear the guy run off.
"Why does he have such an obsession with AZ?" I ask
"Oh he just has a little crush" South tells me "honestly it's really funny"
"Hm"
"Dude she doesn't return the feelings... I think"
    I mumble something under my breath about how he shouldn't get to live with her.
"Viv I've gotta go I'm pretty tired" I say.
"Alright Victor, goodnight" she says we log off of the video chat thing.
    Laying in bed I think for a bit, I was tired, we trained all morning with Maine. As I drifted off to sleep I thought of AZ.

(MEMORY STATE, NOBODY'S POV)

    This weeks movie night was going to be good. North happily helped AZ prepare the food, as she was in charge of it that week. He enjoyed helping her especially when she would let him taste some of the food. AZ climbed on the counter in order to grab the popcorn.
"Hey you be carefull" North says.
"Don't worry I do this all the time-" AZ begins then slips falling backwards off the counter. North catches her, holding her bridal style. A light blush crosses his cheeks as he looks at the blue eyed beauty in his arms.
"You okay?" he asks worry in his voice.
"Yeah I'm fine" AZ responds, trying hard to not blush. The two stayed like that for a while before North sets her down. He reaches up and grabs the popcorn. Handing it to her their fingers touched he lingered for a bit. As they carried the food out of the kitchen and into the living room he thinks about how he's going to ask her to be his girlfriend.
    The food was set onto a table. Everyone was gathered around a large TV, South laying on the floor, Wyoming sitting in the reclining chair, Wash sitting on the couch with AZ laying on him. North sitting on the floor, and York sitting on the other recliner. As the movie continued North finally figured out how he'd ask her.
    As AZ watched the movie she thought about North and how he saved her from falling. She decided she was going to ask him out after the movie night. When the movie ended everyone went to their rooms. Everyone except North and AZ. She carried a bowl into the kitchen.
"Hey AZ," North begins "I have a question to ask you"
"I have one for you too North," AZ says "let's ask at the same time"
"Okay"
"Will you go out with me?"
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes!"
"Yes!"
"Wait did you just ask?"
"Yeah"
    The two smile at each other laughing slightly, they had worried for nothing. AZ turns away blushing slightly.
"Well, I'm going to bed, goodnight North" she says. He grabs her hand pulling her close to him in a warm hug.
"Goodnight AZ"
