Approaching these Angels ahead of me, felt like walking towards death.
Throughout my life, I had thought there was no such thing as fate, destiny, myths, and definitely not Vampires and Angels.
Now, here I was.
I always thought that Angels were supposed to be the good guys, the ones that you could always turn to in time of need.
Boy, was I wrong.
These Angels, they wanted to kill me.
Why? So they would be rid of the shadow of their responsibility over me.My breathing was slow and unsteady. I could feel felt the sting of air burn my lungs as I took the last final steps between myself and the Angels, Andre, Callum, and Bernadette, waiting ahead of me.
They seemed pleased that they had finally gotten a hold of me.
Like I was their ticket for freedom about to be cashed in.I took one last big suck in of fresh air, feeling it tremble it's way down my throat as I stopped to greet the killer Angels.
"Nice to finally meet you Rosalie" Bernadette started, a wide smile plastered on her face.
It made me sick, how could she smile knowing what she was planning to do to me?
I nodded, fearing my voice would give away my fright, something she didn't need to know existed in me.
"I've heard quite a lot about you, including that of stealing the heart of my dearest son"
This time, the fear inside of me fell.
Callum didn't want this to happen, if he had the chance, he would have stopped it, but he couldn't.
Like everyone had told me, it was out of his hands.I held back the snide remark that would give away my spying. I needed to be smart, I needed to pretend I hadn't witnessed their little rendezvous.
"I'm sorry about that" I spoke, finding the bravery behind my voice
She lightly shook her head as if to say I wasn't.
"So, what is the reason you agreed to this meeting?" Bernadette asked casually, clasping her hands together in front of herself
I chewed my bottom lip and eyed the group off "I want to see your Queen" I spoke, getting straight down to it.
The quicker, the better.Bernadette's eyebrows raised, surprised at my request, along with a few scoffs from Ollie's direction.
Callum and Andrè stood motionless and speechless, they just seemed to stare at the ground, not wanting an part in the negotiations"The Queen? My dear girl, why would you want to do that?" She asked, amused
I shrugged, keeping my cool "I wish to speak to her about some sort of agreement, a settlement, a deal" I continued
She scoffed, but still managed to smile "The Queen does not do deals"
"We'll see" I quickly shot back feeling confident in myself.
It made me feel better knowing Duke, Riley, and Jaymi were watching. They'd agreed to watch on from a nearby roof, just in case something sinister had happened, something unforeseen.
Bernadette sighed before nodding "Okay then. You wish to end your family's lives sooner than expected, so lets go. You're lucky, the Queen lives not too far from here, in Belgium" She replied, feeling and looking as cocky as ever before
"Fine. How do we get there?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest
Bernadette grimly smiled and took a side glance at Callum, who nodded
"We have our ways" She shrugged as Callum walked towards me, stopping directly in front of me as the rest of the group disappeared from the museum in a quick flash of light.
