"Show me the rock" Riley smiled as Duke and I walked inside the door of our Paris home.
I held my hand out, feeling proud. Riley took a hold of it and examined the ring around my finger as Jaymi joined him, standing beside him as Duke stood beside me
"Wow, nice job guys" Riley nodded, as he stepped back
"Duke wasn't sure what you'd like, so of course he needed help" She smiled
"So when is the wedding, you haven't asked me to be best man yet, what's the deal?" Riley rushed out, punching Duke in the arm
"Settle down" Duke smiled back towards him, in far too good a mood to fight him or glare at him
"Seriously though, you better ask me" Riley threatened pointing a finger at him
Duke sighed before moving off to the kitchen. I moved to the lounge, feeling the exhaustion finally take over my body.
Through all the adrenaline and excitment of the day, I had managed to push away the drowsiness that threatened me.I sprawled out on the lounge my legs and arms like a starfish as I closed my eyes and sighed.
I still couldn't manage to wipe the smile from my face, even in exhaustion, it was hard."I told you to be patient" Jaymi spoke from the lounge across from me.
Riley had obviously followed Duke, eager to annoy him while he was in such a good mood."How was I to know that was what you were hiding?" I asked, opening one eye to look at her
"If you just wait and see, it'll be worth it in the end, obviously" She smiled
"I suppose so" I sighed out, lifting my hand above my face to stare at my ring again "I told Duke something that I already told Riley, now I want to tell you as it has been approved by both of the boys" I started, turning my head to look at her as I dropped my hand on my stomach
"What's that?" She asked, looking at me
"I'm going to make a blood bank. A blood bank where Vampires can get my blood and use it to start a family" I put simply
She sat up immediatley, shocked "Are you serious? I mean, they approved it?" She spoke, pointing to the kitchen way where the boys could be heard play fighting
"I'm serious, and yes, they think it's a good idea. I'm going to help you, and others, it's my purpose" I proudly told her, sitting up
"That's.." She couldn't find the words, and I hoped that was a good thing "That's amazing" She smiled, confirming my excitement
"You know what that means?" I asked her, sitting on my hands for warmth
"I think so, but you say it first"
"You will be able to have a family one day" I told her
"That was what I was thinking too" She laughed, her face bright and happy
I shrugged and stood up, ready to head to bed.
Tomorrow, we would be leaving. I wondered if Ollie and Alex would follow, I wondered if i'd be more safe back home.
"Well, I am exhausted so I am off" I yawned
"Nighty night" Jaymi replied, laying back down on the lounge before I left the room
When I neared the staircase, I heard Riley and Duke still teasing one another as they argued playfully like teenagers
"Night!" I called towards them, not even sure they'd be able to hear me
"Goodnight!" Riley called back as I lingered on the first step listening to them bicker
"Better go get your woman before she falls asleep" Riley teased as I listened intently
