It was summer and I was spending my vacation as a disciplinary committee in my faculty's orientation program. My new campus life was so exciting for me, I didn't mind to sacrifice my two months long vacation for that kind of activity. It was fun enough, spending my time with my friends and secretly making fun of the freshmen. By not being the youngest member of her student organization, I felt invincible and suddenly all wiser and more experienced that I actually was. I did a lot of showing off in front of the freshmen, pretending to be this cool and aloof senior, while deep inside I was laughing my ass off. I was young and stupid. I thought that I had the world on the palm of my hand. I didn't make the wisest choices in my life at that moment.

Our organization had this blue jacket as an identity. Every time we welcomed new members into our organization at the closing ceremony, we gave our own jacket to them. It was supposed to be random. But when I was a freshmen, a scary looking senior, who was also in the disciplinary committee, picked me and gave me her jacket intentionally. She took me under her wings. She had helped me through my academic and organization life. She was kind enough to introduce me to all of her friends. She had made the transition into this new environment easier for me. I was so impressed by the senior's kindness, I decided to do the same thing to one of the freshmen. I would treat this selected freshmen like my own sister. I would make sure that nobody would mess with her. I wanted teach her things and be the greatest senior that this freshman ever had. Those were my goals. That was my new mission.

So I paid a lot of attention to the freshmen, looking for the most suitable one. I wanted to pick someone who had a lot of similarities with me. Being a naive and stupid senior as I was, I even made a checklist. It had to be a girl, because I wasn't really interested in befriending a younger boy. She had to be pretty and easy on the eyes. She had to be smart and tough, just like me. She had to be funny and friendly enough, so it wouldn't be hard to approach her. The list went on and on, my friends mocked me that I was actually looking for a girlfriend, not a 'little sister'. But I just laughed at their mocking. I had a plan and I wanted it to be perfect.

A week passed by and no one stood out amongst the freshmen. Well, there was this girl, who was very outspoken and bright, but she didn't seem right. My friends said that this girl was a lot of like me in personality wise. Well maybe she was, but she wasn't what I wanted. I wanted something else. One day, the freshmen came about fifteen minutes late to an orientation meeting. What made it worse, they only came with a half of the acceptable number. It was probably the third time they came late into a meeting. The whole committee was so pissed and decided to send the freshmen home. The freshmen was supposed to call their friends again and come back again with an acceptable number in a half hour. After all of the freshmen were gone, the committee evaluated that morning's meeting and discussed their plan for the next meeting with the kids. The disciplinary committees gathered after the evaluation to discuss their own treatment for the freshmen.

"Man, I can't believe that they're late again!"

"I know, right? They're getting really disrespectful now."

We fell silent as we heard the sounds of approaching footsteps coming toward us. A tall girl was running swiftly in our direction. Based on her clothes and accessories, she must be a freshman. She stopped abruptly when she saw the angry looking committees. Her hair was still slightly wet. She was almost thirty minutes late from the initial meeting time. She looked around anxiously to find her friends, but there were no one else there but the disciplinary committees. We stepped forward to circle her, with their arms laid across of their chests. I moved in front of the girl and nodded at the confused girl.

"You're terribly late," I said in a cold voice.

The girl didn't say anything, but keep looking around for her friends. Her tall figure almost looked intimidating, if it wasn't for the innocent look on her face. She was pretty and smelled really nice. I gave her a devilish smile, thinking that maybe I could play a little bit with this freshman.
