[This chapter is inspired by kitchen sink cause that's what I'm listening to.  Shout out to twenty one pilots]

"Wake up love" Pete said in my ear.  I groaned lightly and opened my eyes.  "Guess what?  We're married"  I smiled at him sleepily.  First day as a married couple.

"I know" I said happily.  He slid his hands down my waist.  My eyebrows furrowed.  "Isn't it a bit early for this?"

"Well we didn't get to do this last night you fell asleep" he kissed down my neck.  I pushed him away from me.

"It's sleep time" I mumbled.  He flipped me on my back.  He trailed more kisses down my neck.  His hands slid down my chest.  "Okay maybe I'm not so tired anymore" I shut my eyes and lightly moaned.

"I didn't think so" he bite my earlobe lightly.  My phone rang on the table.  I grabbed it and answered it.

"Bren?"

"Can you come over?" He sniffled.  He was crying.

"What's wrong?" I asked sitting up.

"Ryan and I got into a fight and it was really bad.  He left his engagement ring on the table I'm scared"

"I'm on my way.  Hold on Bren.  I'll be there soon" I hung up and got dressed.  Pete watched me with an upset look on his face.  "I'll be back" I reassured him.  He shook his head and stared at his crossed legs on the bed.

"Sometimes I feel like Brendon means more to you than me" He mumbled.  I shut my eyes and sighed.

"You know that's not true" I said.  He laughed sarcastically.

"Maybe you should have married him instead" He muttered.  My heart cracked a little.  I felt it.

"What?" I whispered.

"You heard me.  Maybe you should just stay there" he glared at me.  Where was all of this coming from?

"You know what?" I asked my voice cracking a little "Maybe I will" I grabbed an over night bag and shoved it with enough clothes to last me a few days.  I placed the wedding rings on the nightstand.  "One day Pete.  We've been married one day and you already fucked it up.  Where is all of this coming from anyway?"  He stared at the rings with sad eyes.

"My insecurities" he whispered.  His hands slid down his crossed arms.  It never crossed my mind he could have insecurities.  He was such a closed off man that I never thought he was intimidated by Brendon.  Maybe that's why he hates him so much.  I stared at my shoes.  "Just go.  Let me be alone for a while.  Take your phone though" he didn't look me in the eyes.  I zipped the bag up and shoved my rings back on my finger.  He smiled lightly at that.  I attempted to kiss him but he turned away.  More pain crossed my face.  "Go" he demanded.

"Yes sir" I mumbled.  I slid the bag up my arm.  He grabbed my arm and pulled me back to him.  He pressed his lips to mine lightly then pushed me away.  "I'll call you later"

"I'll call you.  Just go" his voice was demanding.  I rushed to my car.

"He promised to call" I whispered staring at the phone.  Ryan never came back but he did text Brendon that he loved him so we knew he just needed some time.  Brendon cried for a few hours until that text came through.  "I don't understand.  It was so sudden he just lost it.  He almost didn't kiss me when I left it was the most random thing ever"

"He's intimidated by me?" He asked.

"That's practically what he said" I threw the phone down on the table "Did I do something wrong?" I asked.

"It's really my fault but you did leave him the day after your wedding.  It's my fault though" He ran his fingers through his hair.

"It's not your fault at all.  You needed my support" I pat his shoulder lightly.

"But everyone has insecurities.  He's just good at hiding them this is the first time he let them show" we both stared at my phone while it rang.  My heart thudded while I picked it up.

"It's just my mom" I grumbled.  I hung it up.  "I'm not answering anyone except Pete"

"Why don't you call him?" He asked.

"He told me he would call me" I sighed and typed in his number.  My finger hovered over the call button.

"Let me talk to him" Brendon said.  I handed him my phone.  He pressed the call button and waited.

"It's not Patrick" he said into the receiver.  He listened to the response "Yes, he told me everything.  I just wanted you to know I'll never try to take him from you.  I know I fucked up a lot in the past.  I was selfish and I apologize greatly to you and to Patrick" I heard Pete's voice coming through the speaker but I couldn't hear what he was saying.  He didn't sound angry.  "Well, I'm sorry.  And Patrick loves you unconditionally.  I'm not in love with him.  I just love him like a brother.  Nothing more.  Please Pete talk to him.  He's in hell" Pete's voice was calmer than before.  Brendon nodded as if Pete could see him.  He smiled lightly.  "You're welcome" He said "He's right here.  And you don't have to apologize to me" He handed me the phone.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hey"

"Hey"

"I'm sorry.  I let my insecurities get the best of me and I acted like a total jackass.  Will you come home?

"Of course I'll come home"

"See you soon"

"Bye" he ended the call. "Thank you" I mumbled to Brendon.  He smiled and nodded.  His phone rang on the table with a text from Ryan.

"He said he's coming home.  Guess the universe wants us happy again" He hugged me tightly "Go home and have radical make up sex"

"You too Bren"

I dropped the bag on the floor and ran into his arms.  He hugged me tightly.

"Sorry" he mumbled.

"I should have thought about you.  I never thought you would have had insecurities.  You never talk to me.  You just keep it all in.  Next time just talk to me.  Please" He pressed his palm to the back of my head.

"I will I promise"
