"You still owe me a muffin breadstick, remember that," I stole a quick glance over to my best friend who was chuckling at my bitterness as he drove; reminding him of his sly theft at lunch earlier today.

"Yeah I know, I'm sorry okay? I couldn't help it," he laughed loudly, it truly was a beautiful sound. I marvelled at how happy and carefree my best friend really was.

As long as he was always happy, I would be and world would never have to feel my wrath. He deserved the best always, his childhood wasn't easy and he's survived hell. So I'll forever be glad he made it here today. This boy will have me always, so he definitely can survive anything!

"Well you could of kept your noodle fingers to yourself," I spat back at him making him laugh louder in amusement and I smiled.

See, happy Luke; happy Sammy.

"But Sammy it was calling to me, it just begged me to eat it as it sat there unloved by you," he whined, I didn't even need to look over at him to know he was pouting and batting his eyelashes at me.

Don't do it Luke.

Don't look Sam. Don't do it.

One look at that puppy face and you'll give in.

But I couldn't help it. I turned to face him and sure enough there was that pleading for forgiveness face as we sat at the stop sign.

"Fine I forgive you but you owe me a movie and pizza night got it?" I chuckled leaning over to poke his dimples as he beamed.

"You got it Sammy bae," he giggles happily, clearly smug that his sulking actions had beat me.

"Yeah I best know it too," I stuck my tongue out at him as he continued driving toward my house, "So Hemhem, that-"

"Movie night I know, so how's about tonight at my place at 6.30, I'll pick you up at 6,"

"You know me to well," I sighed dramatically.

"You wouldn't walk if your life depended on it," he laughed," I'd have to piggyback you, you're a lazy little shit," he chuckled, using an Irish accent, he knew that made smile.

"You know it," I punched him lightly on the shoulder as he pulled into my drive way, "I'll be ready for 6 Hemhem," I jumped out his car and walked towards my house, "Be there waiting for me or be square Lukey," I giggled at my silly rhyme as I glanced at him over my shoulder.

"I'll be here don't sweat it short ass," he yelled reversing out into the road and speeding off without another word.

"Tut tut, rude Hemmings, so damn rude," I laughed at my dumb mumbling to myself before turning back towards the door and making a grab for the handle.

But I couldn't.

Because there ties to the handle was a scroll.

Untying the admired silk ribbon, my heart fluttered as I admired the beautiful artwork and the penmanship underneath it.
