"Luke you're my ride home today okay?" I nudged my best friend in the shoulder before we went our usual separate ways at lunch.
He goes to sit with Josh, Mikey and the other people in our friend group and I went to the table by the window where it's quiet.
"That's cool, I was gonna ask how you were getting home anyway," he bit his lip, a clear sign he was deep in thought before turning to face me, "Can I sit with you today? The guys are a bit too much lately,"
"Sure," I smiled shrugging my shoulders before leading the way to my spot, I placed my tray down, mentally slapping myself, "I forgot my water, I'll be right back. Don't touch my food Hemmo!"
"Alright alright, no promises," he smirked devilishly at me as I sauntered away.
And he stole my muffin, the second I left.
Noodle ass mother fucker, I'm bringing fire.
Shrugging off the theft of my beautiful muffin I continued walking. Luckily I don't mind long queues, so I didn't have a problem with waiting almost ten minutes with my water bottle in hand, to reach the front of the counter. It gave me time to think about my mystery artist and who it could be. Luke said it had to be someone who had a schedule like ours and someone who knew a fair bit about me to know where I go and when I go there. The pictures are usually of things I did the same or previous days too; so the artist must see me every single day? Do I see him?
These thoughts have swam throughout my mind all day driving me insane, in fact it was never not on my mind so I spoke about it with Luke in Math and he said it would help if the pictures were dated or something, even he was determined for me to figure it out.
A voice snapped me out of my thoughts and I looked up to where I was met with a smiling Rachel.
"Afternoon Samantha,"
"Hey Rachel, how are you?" I smiled politely because hey, manners get you places and they cost nothing so why not?
"I'm grand thank you darling but you will be too in just a sec," she paused crouching down under the counter, she started talking again from underneath, "Cause I have something..." Rachel popped up again smiling widely, "For you,"
She was holding out a scroll with that all too familiar silk ribbon that had me smiling each and everyday now.
'Rain or shine you're always beautiful to me'
