Skylar looked over at Morion pretending not to hear Alphonzo. "Don't worry about him." Morion said grabbing her hand. "You say something?" Alphonzo. "Dude not today ight." Morion said. Alphonzo and his boys started laughing. "Sup Skylar." A boy standing next to Alphonzo said smirking. Skylar ignored them and continued to walk with Morion.

"So baby you gon be real mad at me." Morion said. "Why." Skylar said as they stopped in the middle of the hallway. "I can't go to the funeral." Morion said. "Why?" Skylar said. "I gotta go visit my mama in jail." Morion said. Skylar looked down. "I wish I could Skylar." Morion said. "Its fine Morion." Skylar said. "You sure?" Morion asked. "Yeah." Skylar said. Morion smiled then lifted up Skylar's chin and kissed her. "Awwwn y'all so ugly." A voice said. They both turned to see Cece, Chloe, and Lo. "Girl don't do us." Skylar said. "Girl bye." Cece said. "Alright I'll see you later." Morion said. "Alright." Skylar said. "Girl why yo nigga wanna leave when we come around?" Lo asked. "Cuz he know we don't like his ass." Chloe said. Skylar walked off shaking her head and grinning. They followed after her to her locker. "So when you gon tell him?" Lo asked. Skylar didn't have to ask what she was talking about because she already knew. "I still don't know, I'm afraid of what he might say." Skylar said closing her locker.

"Well you better tell him soon you almost a full month just two more weeks to go." Chloe said. "I will stop sweating me." Skylar said. "Okay we I'm just saying." Chloe said. "Push her there he go." Lo whispered. "You gon hate me for thus." Cece said. "For what?" Skylar asked. "This." Cece said before pushing her into Alphonzo. The bell rung and everyone began clearing the hall. "Watch were the fuck you going!" Alphonzo said. "I'm sorry." Skylar said picking his books up for him and handing them to him. He snatched them away. She stared then turned around to walk away. "Wait." Alphonzo said. Skylar stopped but didn't turn to face him. "I'm sorry about you know grandma." Alphonzo said. "Yeah okay." Skylar said trying to walk off. "Turn around Skylar." Alphonzo said. Skylar tur ed around with tears falling down her face. Alphonzo walked up to her and held her close. 

"I'm sorry." Skylar said. "Its okay you don't have to apologize for that she's in a better place now." Alphonzo said. "No I mean I am sorry for what I did to us." Skylar said. Alphonzo remained quiet for a second. "Okay so we should get to class." Alphonzo said. "Do you forgive me?" Skylar asked. "What?" Alphonzo said.  "Do you forgive me?" Skylar asked. Alphonzo sighed and scratched his head before speaking. "...Yeah." Alphonzo responded. Alphonzo began walking to class together. They weren't best friends again but they were coo... For now.

"Your both late take a seat." Alphonzo's friend said pretending to be a teacher. "Man shut up." Alphonzo said walking towards his boys. Skylar caught Lo, Cece, and Chloe smirking at her and walked over to them. "Were is the teacher?" Skylar said sitting down at a desk. "She went to the restroom." Lo answered. Chloe began grinning at Skylar. "What?" Skylar asked. "What happened?" Chloe asked. "We just coo now I guess, putting all beef aside." Skylar said shrugging her shoulders. "Bitch okay but did you tell him bout Luhh Alphonzo Jr.?" Cece asked laughing afterwards. "Girl no, I'm not ready, and who said its a boy." Skylar said. "I'm just guessing." Cece said. "That's not important, what's important is that you need to tell him." Lo said. "Y'all for the last time I will when I'm ready okay." Skylar said. "Okay whatever." Lo said.

"Open up your history books to page seven." Ms. Lambert said walking over to her desk. Everyone began opening there books. "Fuck she smiling at?" Skylar whispered. Chloe looked over at Abreya cheesing hard at Skylar. "Girl I don't know but she asking to get her ass beat again." Chloe said loudly. "Language Chloe." Ms. Lambert said causing everyone to look at her. "Sorry." Chloe said in embarrassment. Ms. Lambert rolled her eyes and went back to teaching. Soon the class went back to listening. Abreya tiptoed over to a seat next to Skylar. Skylar pretended not to see her. "So no baby bump yet?" Abreya whispered. "What?" Skylar asked. "I know your little secret, congratulations though." Abreya said with a smirk.

"I don't know what your talking about." Skylar said as her heart began racing. "Sure you do I heard you in the bathroom." Abreya said. "She said she don't know what you talking about." Cece said mean mugging Abreya. Chloe and Lo did the same. "That's cute y'all standing up for y'all Luhh pregnant friend." Abreya said standing up and walking back to her seat. "Skylar you okay?" Chloe said. Skylar's heart was beating faster and faster. "Skylar?" Cece said. Chloe rushed out towards the door and fell into the hallway. She got up and ran to the bathroom and you know why.

Skylar rinsed off her face with water from the sink. She glared at herself in the mirror then at her stomach. It had been two weeks but she still couldn't believe she was pregnant.

"Are you okay Ms. Williams?" Ms. Lambert asked as Skylar walked back in. "Skylar nodded her head yes. "Okay have a seat." Ms. Lambert said. Skylar slowly walked back to her seat with all eyes on her. "Girl what's wrong?" Chloe whispered as Skylar sat at her desk. "Nothing leave it alone." Skylar said. "Okay." Chloe said pursing her lips.

"You only got two weeks left right?" Morion asked as they sat in the car. "Yeah." Skylar said. "Well Skylar I know this is random but you never told me about your uncle." Morion said. "Yeah I know." Skylar said. The car grew silent. " "So tell me." Morion said. Skylar sighed.

Flashback:

"Nigga fuck you, you can't get yo shit and go." Skylar's mother yelled. "Bitch I ain't doing shit." Skylar's father responded. "Mama I'm on my way to school." Skylar said. "Alright gon head." Her mother said waving her off. Skylar stood there watching her parents scream at each other once more and then left to her bus stop thinking she would come home to the same thing. Instead she came home to police cars and ambulance surrounding her house. It took her awhile to figure out what happened. A tear rolled down her face as her parents were carried away in body bags. "Mommy, Daddy!" She screamed. A couple days later she was in a foster home. "We were told you would adopt her." A woman said talking to Skylar's uncle in an office. "You was told wrong, I ain't got time for no goddamn kids." Skylar's uncle said putting his beer up to his mouth. "Sir I should tell you that I work at this foster home but this isn't exactly a place for a child." The woman whispered. "Well you adopt her." He responded stumbling out as he heard Skylar cryi g out for him.

"So yeah I hated him for a long time but I had to learn to forgive him." Skylar said holding her tears in. "So you can forgive people no matter what?" Morion asked. "Yeah I think, you got something you trynna tell me something." Skylar said. "Yeah no more secrets between us okay." Morion said. "Okay." Skylar said.

The next day:

"My grandmother Cecilia Williams was a great woman." Skylar said into the microphone. "Amen." A couple of people shouted. "She was a sweet woman and will be- Skylar stopped as she felt tears run down her cheek.....
