So much to tell and keep

"Oh come on now that's not how you greet your uncle." The man said. "Morion watch him." Skylar said. Morion stood up glaring at the man. "Sky I just came because I heard you weren't doing so well." The man said sitting a basket of flowers on a table next to him. "I don't give a fuck, why here, why now?" Skylar asked. The man remained silent. "Why you here because you thought I was dying and you felt guilty that you never said sorry?" Skylar said. "Skylar I'm sorry forgive me or not I'm sorry." The man said before leaving  the room. Tears rolled down Skylar's face. "Skylar who is he?" Morion asked. Skylar stayed silent. "Skylar-" Skylar cut Morion off. 

"Please I don't want to talk about it alright." Skylar said softly. Morion nodded and then sat next to her. "Hello Ms.Williams may I come in?" Someone said on the other side of the door. "Yeah." Skylar said loud enough for them to hear. A lady seating a nurse uniform walked in with a clipboard. "Hello I'm nurse Sarah and I just came to see how you were doing." The lady said. "I'm fine." Skylar said. "So no problems ?" The nurse asked writing something down on her clipboard. "Morion I'd like to speak to her in private." Skylar said. Morion gave Skylar a look of confusion then got up and proceeded to leave the room. "How are you?" The nurse asked as Morion walked past her. "Fine." Morion said before leaving the room. "Okay is there something you would like to tell me?" The nurse asked as she walked to the side of Skylar.

"Yeah I just been throwing up a lot lately and feeling sick." "Could it be from Stress?"

"Well its possible another possibility is pregnancy." The nurse responded. 

Those words made Skylar's heart drop. She had forgotten that since that night at Alphonzo's house she was no longer a virgin. "Have you participated in any sexual activity?" The nurse asked. Skylar gave a blank stare as her heart began rapidly beating. "Yes." Skylar responded. "Okay we will have to give you a test, that is if you agree to it." The nurse said. Skylar wanted to disappear right then and there. "If I was pregnant does that mean I could have damaged the baby when I overdosed." Skylar said. "Yes its possible but we won't know until you take the test to even know if your pregnant."The nurse said."But we used a condom." Skylar said."Well condoms can always accidentally get a hole poked in it." The nurse responded.Skylar took awhile to respond then spoke. "I'll take it but I can't let him know." Skylar said let looking at Morion standing in the hall through a window. The nurse looked at Morion then back at Skylar. "Okay I will inform Dr.Lane and I will update you on what he says." The nurse said with a smile. Skylar looked down in shame. 

"Hey I have a sister your age with a kid and she's doing just fine, you'll be alright." "Besides a baby is a blessing." The nurse said before leaving the room. Morion walked back in and could yell something was up by the look on Skylar's face. "What y'all talk about?" Morion asked. "She was just telling me about the center I have to go to when I'm released for people who have attempted suicide." Skylar said. "Awe well you know you don't have to go if you don't want to." Morion said. "I dont want to." Skylar said.

Skylar's POV:

"You sure you dont want to go?" Morion asked. "I'm sure."  I said. "Good." Morion said leaning in to kiss Skylar. "How's my Grandma?" Skykar asked. Morion stopped in his tracks. "I went to go check on her and they said she still hasn't woke up but they know why now." Morion replied. "Why tell me." Skylar said. "Well you know she diabetes right?" Morion asked. "Yeah since I was a baby." Skylar said. "Well they said she hasn't been eating right and its gotten worse so it caused a lot of blood to stop circulating in her right leg." "She had the chance to get it amputated but she refused so its been getting worse and now its slowly dying and if it doesn't get cut off she could- Morion stopped. "She could what die, No please don't tell me she's gonna die?" I yelled beginning to panic. Morion began holding me letting me cry on his shoulder. 

"Your grandma will be fine okay, don't think of the worst." Morion said. "I just... I can't think of what my life would be like without her." I said. Morion held me close not saying a word. I felt like a monster knowing I could be pregnant with someone else's baby, when Morion was so good to me. Times like this I needed my girls but we were no longer friends and the person I needed the most was Chloe. She was like a best friend to me. Man what am I doing with my life. Only good news in my life was that I was getting released tomorrow and Morion was still by my side.

I think I'm going to take a nap." Skylar said. "I'll take one with you." Morion said beginning to climb on the bed next to Skylar. Skylar made room for him. Morion stared at Skylar as he laid next to her. "I love you." Morion said. "I love you too." Skylar said. They both soon drifted off to sleep.

"Are you going to take her?"

"No I ain't got time for no damn kids, I don't even no why I came here."

Skylar woke up and a tear rolled down her face. She hadn't had that dream in a long time, but every time she had it it made her hate her uncle even more. She looked over to see a sleeping Morion. She smirked at him then grabbed her phone to check the time. It was 12:07 am. She got out of the hospital bed to go to the restroom.
She then felt the need to leave the room. Since she never leaves the room like ever. She looked back to make sure Morion was still sleep and of course he was. So she tiptoed out of the room and luckily the hall was clear. She made her way two floors up to her grandmother's room. She slowly walked in to room 205 and found her grandmother laying in bed eyes closed and at peace. She smiled and rushed over to her grandmother and laid her head on her chest. "I see you not mad at me no more." A voice said. Skylar looked up to see her grandmother smiling at her. Skylar's eyes widened. "Grandma!" Skylar screamed holding her tight. 

Her grandma flinched as if she was in pain. "Sorry grandma." Skylar said. "Its alright." Her grandma responded. Skylar pulled a chair up next to the bed. "I see you in here to." Her grandma said. Skylar looked down at her hospital gown then back up to her grandma. "Yeah but how have you been?" Skylar said quickly changing the subject. "I've been in a coma the question is how have you been." Her grandma asked. "Its a long story grandma that don't need to be told." Skylar said looking at the ground. The room was silent.  Then the door flew open. "There you are, I had a feeling you might be in here." Nurse Sarah said said. She then looked at Skylar's grandma and her eyes widened. "Ms.Williams your woke?" Nurse Sarah said. Yeah were is my doctor?" Skylar's grandma said. "Oh Doctor Nash I'll go get him right now but first Skylar are you ready for the test.?" Nurse Sarah asked. 

"What test?" Skylar'sgrandma asked looking over at Skylar. "She hasn't told you yet?" Nurse Sarah asked. "No I haven't." Skylar said in a stern voice looking at Nurse Sarah. "Oh okay I'll go get Dr.Nash for you Ms. Williams." Nurse Sarah said quickly rushing out of the room. "Something you wanna tell me?" Skylar's grandma said. Skylar looked down to the ground. "How am I gonna tell her this?" She thought to herself.
