I was lost.

But, eh, I don't give a shit. At least I was away from him. Yes, away from Lucien and his Colgate-promoting fangs.

I was wandering the house like a lost puppy. I lost count of how many times I have went around in circles, walking through the same corridors over and over again.

I had a hand cupped over my neck and the bleeding subsided now but the pain was still there. Never have I hurt that much in my eighteen years on this planet. How something so beautiful can cause you so much pain, I don't know. He was a douche who inflicted pain on others for his own sickly amusement.

What have I ever done to deserve it?

A lot. Like cursing at him, disobeying him, testing his patience, annoying him, etc.
The nagging voice in my head said.

True but...that's not the point!

Was it my fault that I was kidnapped in the first place?
No.

Could you blame me for being angry because I was kidnapped?
No.

I sighed, frustrated.

"Looks like somebody is lost." A voice said behind me, making me jump a little in surprise.

I spun around and came face to face with Jaycon.

I gave him a small smile.

He was standing there wearing a pair of sweatpants that hung dangerously low on his narrow, hips and to make things worse, he was shirtless which exposed his perfectly chiseled abs. Everything about him screamed "HOT SEX"!

Damn this house and it's over-sexy residents.

He had a lazy smile plastered on his face.

"What are you doing wandering the house alone?" He asked, walking over to me.

His musky smell hit me like a ton of bricks. It was so intoxicating and made my mouth water, wanting to get closer to him but I stayed put.

"Well, I just needed a quick escape from Mr. Flashing Fangs back there," I told him truthfully.

He let out a hearty chuckle.
"You're not the only person to do that."

"Glad I'm not. I was afraid that I'd be the only sane person here," I said sarcastically.

I had my arms crossed over my chest.

"Are you really a werewolf?" I asked him curiously.

"Who told you?" He asked, surprised.

"Master did," I replied bluntly.

"I guess Lucien still won't let any pet call him by his real name", Jaycon laughed, "And to answer your question, yes, I'm an Alpha in training."

"So you made the smart choice of training at Master's place?"

Somebody present me with a badge of honour please. It was taking all of my self control not to vomit when I said 'Master'. Heck, I deserve a Nobel Prize!

"He's my oldest friend. He can sometimes be pretty hot tempered and do reckless things but he's still an good guy," Jaycon admitted.

"Aren't vampires and werewolves suppose to be natural enemies?" I questioned. Shit, my neck is still so sore.

"That's only the rogue wolves and vampires. They're the ones who have all human dignity drained out of them. I guess you could call them the outlaws of our world."

"Oh." More danger. Yippee!

Another shot of pain shot through my neck.

I hissed and placed my hand over the bite mark again. It was a pain in the neck - literally.

Jaycon's eyes drifted to my neck and he creased his eyebrows in concern.

"Are you alright? What happened?" He asked me, taking a step closer.

"Well, if Mr. Fangs didn't sink his teeth in too deep then it might not have hurt so much," I scowled at the memory.

I looked up at Jaycon and I could see a flash of anger cross his gleaming, auburn eyes. His hands were fisted and his jaw twitched.

I stepped back cautiously. Was he going to hurt me too?

"Uh, Jaycon? Are you okay?" I asked nervously.

He looked at me and taking a deep breath and relaxed.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Just a little tired that's all."

"Oh, okay. Um...maybe you should just go and rest," I said quietly to him.

"Uh, yeah. See you later, Isa. Oh, by the way, your bedroom is down that flight of stairs, turn right and it's the second door on the left." With that he walked away down another corridor.

Whoah, how did he know where I was staying?

I just shook my head and began to follow his directions down the stairs.

As I was walking along the corridor I couldn't help but notice that there were so many doors in this house, probably doesn't all lead into bedrooms.

Because I was lost in thought, I didn't notice a door being opened and walked right into it.

It hit me right in my face and nearly broke my nose.

I really didn't need a nosebleed right now either.

"Ouch," I muttered and rubbed my possibly bruised forehead.

Out stepped a girl that looked exactly like Erynn but had black hair instead of brown.

"Sorry, didn't see you there," She apologised.

"It's alright, it's no pain that I haven't felt before."

She eyed me closely and the way she studied me, I have to admit, made me uncomfortable.

"Are you my brother's new pet?"

She must be Lucien's sister and Erynn's twin.

"Yeah," I said flatly.

She raised her head up in the air and looked down at me.

"I'm Eefah. To be honest, I've seen better ones than you," Her words stung me like salt on a wound and my heart wrenched.

"Well, I'm sorry I wasn't born prettier," I snapped at her.

"Don't talk to me like that or I'll tell Lucien and he won't be happy!" She snarled back.

That shut me up.
I brought my gaze down to her hand. She was carrying an old, tattered paperback.

'Much Ado About Nothing' the title read and I bit back a laugh threatening to erupt from my throat.

Was a vampire reading soppy romance books by Shakespeare?!

Her bad girl façade couldn't conceal her true side now!

"Well, if you don't mind, I need to be somewhere," She pushed passed me and stomped away.

Goth Girl likes Shakespeare.

Never judge a book by it's cover.
