(7:34am. Trust can be earned in extraordinary ways)

"Michelle come down for breakfast", I open the door to Michelle's room, she's not in there. I walk inside with my crutches under my arms. They we're awfully uncomfortable, I rather hop on one leg. "Michelle?"

I walk curiously around in her room and her bathroom door slightly open and I drop my crutches and hop over to the door, opening it, I see something I think I was not supposed to see. Suddenly Michelle runs and shuts the door. She was smoking. I was surprised because Mark's family were very high up and respected and their children were like dime. This is the last house you would expect rebellion in.

Michelle walks out, sighing and looks at me and then speaks up, "Don't tell anyone, okay?"

"Why should I listen to you? You do realize you're young and only 16? You shouldn't be doing this, I've been there before trust me", I say.

"Audrey, don't tell anyone.."

"I'm sorry but the only way I can stop you is by telling your paren-"

"Audrey!", she yells. Then speaks normally. "Just listen, I'll make you a deal.."

"No I don't want any deals", I interrupt and turn and walk towards the door but she pulls my arm.

"I'll make my mom love you", she says and I suddenly stop, my heart beats.

"Go on..", I say, I can't believe these words were coming out of my mouth.

"And my mom loves whoever I love, so if you want me to work my magic on making her like you, you let this slip away and pretend it never happened", she smiles, what a manipulative teenager, just like her mother. I stand there quietly wondering whether I should trust her or not. "Listen, you can count on me, I'm not lying but please let this slip away and you will have a good future with my brother"

"I just-"

"Don't feel it's right?", she says and I nod. "We'll look at it from my perspective, my parents definetly never gave any attention to us except bought us stuff, I think it's safe to say here I've never had a good relationship with them, I smoke to get away"

"Michelle.. If I don't tell them, you also have to promise me one thing", I say, I need to take charge here. She can't just give me orders.

"What?"

"I won't tell your parents if you promise me to give me your whole. Promise me you'll never buy any more again, got it? No more smoking weed", I tell her and she groans. "If you don't listen to me, our deal is off"

"Okay fine, but it's a two way process here, not a word slips to my parents and then I'll only work on making her like you", she goes and gets me the stash and hands it. I put it into the pocket of my pajamas and walk out.

I go down the stairs as carefully as possible, taking one step at a time, literally after 10 minutes I am down but I trip on the last step and suddenly everything she handed me falls out of my pocket, Karol sees it. She stood there in disbelief, her eyes wide and a look of disgust on her face. She curses under her breath, I pick up the things, almost wanting to cry. I put them in my pocket.

"Were you just in Michelle's room?", she asks. I nod. "Oh my God! Imagine she saw this!"

She just holds her head in her hands and walks away. Little did she know, it was her daughter's. Great. Now Karol thinks I'm some pot addict. I struggle up stairs and throw whatever was in my pocket into the small trash in mine and Mark's room. I sit on the bed, tired, hurt and depressed.
