[Tom's POV]

I let out yawn as I walked downstairs, soon greeted by a delicious smell.

That meant Lou was cooking once again.

"Smells good as usual!" I practically drooled as I took a seat at the dining table.

He glanced back at me, "Yes... Today I am serving the human food... Pancakes."

"Pancakes? Ah, right. I tried them with my friends at college." I smiled remembering Marco and Star's reaction when I told them I've never tried pancakes before.

"Geez! How many delicious things have you not eaten yet! We need to get to work..!" Star shook her head at me, "Shame on you,"

"Well.." I glanced over to Marco with a smirk, "If we are actually doing this, I mostly want to try Marco's famous nachos that I've been hearing about."

The brunette grinned proudly, "I know, don't need to drool at the sound of them,"

"Just wait 'till you try the real thing..!" Star commented, "He's got good reviews from his customers- only his parents and me," She whispered the last part to me.

"H-hey! Janna and Jackie have tried them too, not to mention Ferguson and your own parents!" Marco crossed his arms.

The blonde laughed, "Whatever you say, Safe Kid."

"I'm not even a safe kid anymore!"

I chuckled quietly to myself and finally snapped back into reality.
Lou now stood on the other side of the counter facing me and placed a plate of pancakes in front of me.
"Eat up,"

"Thanks for this meal," I cheered before grabbing a fork and digging into my breakfast.

A few minutes passed and I was almost finished with the small stack, down to my last pancake.
Lou still stood there, watching me as if he wanted to say something.

I didn't really mind whenever he watched me eating, I got used to it.
Plus, it was usually because he was daydreaming, trying to pick the right words to say to me.

I finally looked up at him, setting my fork down.
"Yes, Lou?"

He blinked once before actually looking into my eyes.
"Ah, sorry, Master."

"It's Tom, and what is it..?"

"I was just thinking that your horns.."
He paused for a brief moment.
I thought I caught a look of sadness and disappointment on his face, but I was probably imagining it.

Lou opened his mouth to continue,
"I was only thinking how Master's horns have grown bigger and bigger each day.."

I raised an eyebrow and looked up, attempting to see them myself.
"You think so? Never noticed.."

Ah.

I closed my mouth and stayed silent.

"Master Tom?"

That's right.. I know why.

"Master Tom."

"Hm?"
I finally looked back up to Lou, with a decision made in my head.
"Lou."

"Yes?" He took my empty plate and turned to the sink.

"When I tell you this, I want you to give me your honest opinion, alright?"
I stared at his back.
".. Because I trust you."
