[lol you see the title? Then you know it about to go down]

"Don't worry Your Majesty, I'll make a fine kingdom out of this world."
Orpheus cooed insanely, and with one slash of his sword upward, the King was gone.

When demons die, they immediately turn to ashes.

And thats what happened to the King, his great crown clattering to the ground.

We all stood where we were, speechless.. Too shocked to move.

It all happened to fast.

The King was gone.

[Star's POV]

The battle field grew quiet.
Everyone just stayed still, still at shock of what just happened.

I let an inaudible cry, but no tears came from my eyes.
"Hm. That was actually easier than I thought." Orpheus said almost in a disappointed tone, then looked around.
"What? Oh! Don't you dare think I cheated, if you didn't notice, the barrier went down. I just continued the battle as.. Well, not a duel, and scored. Big time." He explained truthfully.

"He's....I'm afraid he's right." I turned to see Lou's mouth open slightly, his eyes had no life to them, well not anymore.

If anyone should be more devastated of the death of the King, it would be the butler.
Lou was the closest to him after all, besides Tom of course.

I gasped quietly to myself.
Tom!

I looked around for the demon, and found him glaring at his butler.
It wasn't just any glare, it was similar to the ones he used to give me when I.. Well, when I wouldn't cooperate with him when we dated. This glare was worse, actually like the one he have when he saw Marco hurt.

Yeah, like that. But yeah, worse.
Sorry.

"Sorry, but-" Tom gritted his teeth. "-did you just say this fucking bastard was right?" He growled.

The swearing caught me off guard.
Lou as well.

"..You wouldn't understand. You're just a kid." Lou replied quietly. "Now please, let me-"

"A kid- A KID??!" As expected, Tom's eyes grew white and the ground began to burn at his feet. "I'm about a thousands of years old, and you call me a kid?!"

"You may be but you just don't understand! It's demons' custom, and your father-" Lou sighed, and lowered his tone. "-your father never got to teach you that. I'm sorry, Tom. We'll talk later. Let me avenge my King, and end this war."

And without another word, he charged at Orpheus, who faked a yawn. "About time,"

Lou running off was like a signal for the fight to continue, and once again, the soldiers were paired up with the monsters or whatever you called them.

But this time, it was different the "monsters" looked to be taking form.
Most had fur, others had scales, and some even had rock-like skin.

Everyone seemed distracted, so I took this as a chance to go to Tom.

I found him with his head facing the ground. I looked to what he was staring at, and frowned. It was the King's crown.
