[Marco's POV]

"Hey, Star!" I called out to my blonde best friend as I ran to her.

She was sitting on a bench alone out in the courtyard, looking out to who knows what.
It was kind of strange.

"Uh.. Earth to Star..?"

"Oh- H-huh?" She finally looked up at me. "Oh.. Marco," She smiled.

"You haven't seen Tim around, have you?" I asked, glancing around.

She shook her head, "Nah, he didn't come to class today. I think he's sick. Why do you ask?"

"Well Oli canceled our plans because he had other errands so I was going to ask if Tim was up to hang today,"

"If you want to visit him I can give you his address," She shrugged.

"Really??"

Star stood, hesitating a bit, "On second thought..I probably shouldn't.."

"Whaaat? Why not?"

She paused for a moment. "He's... He's kind of not in speaking terms with you.. I mean, if you didn't notice.."

"Huh..?"

That's right..

The past few weeks had been a blur, but the more I thought about it the more I could remember.
Tim really wasn't talking to me lately, even if I wasn't with Oliver- Which was obvious Tim disliked him.

"Oh... right." I frowned. "Do.. do you want to hang?"

"Sorry, Mar.." Star sighed, "I have to head over to Mewni again,"

"Ah.. That's right- Of course." I forced a smile on my face.

Before taking out her dimensional scissors, she placed her hand on my shoulder with a concerned look.
"You alright..?"

I shrugged. "I don't know.. I just feel bad for not hanging with you guys.."

She gave my shoulder a pat and grinned. "Don't worry about it!"
And with that, she opened a portal, and disappeared through it.

"Class, class! Before you leave, I have an announcement,"
Mr. Henderson called out as everyone began to pack up.
"I remind you that the Echo Creek Firework Festival is taking place in this school once again. As I'm sure you've all noticed the college council and volunteers are working on setting up decorations and booths, but we still need all the help we can get," He continued, "Ah, and you can bring your family, friends, lovers-"

A few guys in the back of the class chuckled and whistled.
"You're in luck I'm going, Jackie!"
A guy called out to her.

Which reminded me- Jackie transferred here a few weeks ago, stating because she knew more fun people here than her old college.

I saw her raise a middle finger at him without turning. "Sorry, I don't like di-"

"Miss Thomas, language." Mr.Henderson reminded her.

"Oh, right, sorry Henderson." Jackie nodded before continuing. "Sorry, I don't like men parts!!" She shouted back. "- Oh wait, I guess that does make you an exception because you don't have any."

As his friends laughed behind him, the guy pouted. "Why do you gotta be so rude Jackie?"

I saw her roll her eyes with a smirk, then my eyes drifted to the empty seat next to her.
