Plato,Mason, and Daniel hurried past the crowds standing at the sides of the race track. They were screaming, shouting, and cheering. "Our seats are next to the judges," said Plato. He pointed to a tall stand with rows of benches. Plato led Mason and Daniel through the crowd and up the steps to their seats. "Wow, thank you," said Mason. " Yes, thank you," said Daniel. They had a great view. The Olympic parade had started already. Musicians playing pipes were at the front. Behind them marched the Olympic athletes- the best in all of Greece. Mason sighed as he watched the parade go around the track. "Kate and Lucille would love this," he thought. "The athletes in front are the foot runners. Foot races are the oldest event of the Olympics," said Plato. "Behind them are them are the boxers. And behind them are the wrestlers," said Plato. When Daniel and Mason looked up again, they saw two soldiers staring at them from the sidelines. These soldiers were dressed like the actor from the play. The men had on a long cape and a red crested helmet that covered most of their faces. But something was wrong. These soldiers were short compared to the other soldiers. "Here come the discus and javelin throwers and then the men in armor," said Plato. "What do they do?" asked Daniel. "They race wearing full armor," said Plato. Daniel and Mason smiled. They knew that Lucille and Kate would think  that was funny. They looked back at the short soldiers. "In a minute, the chariot races will begin. Winning a chariot race is the greatest honor of the games," said Plato. Mason and Daniel just nodded. They were still studying the short soldiers who seemed to be looking back at them. Suddenly, hands came out of the two soldiers capes. The hands gave a little wave. Daniel and Mason gasped. The short soldiers were Lucille and Kate!
