chapter 26: the interview (+ important authors note)

Harry’s P.O.V.

*2 weeks later*

After a lot of arguing with the management, they said it was okay if I just stayed single. it’s better for the fans any way, but sadly they did change the story so it looks like Lore her fault. I didn’t like it, but One Direction is almost the only thing I have left right now so I can’t give up on this. I did some ‘bonding time’ with Kate, and she was actually nice. Her stomach was getting so big though! But I’m sure a beautiful girl would come out. I’m actually a bit excited! It’s getting tough to hide everything  from the fans but I think we’re doing a pretty good job.

“So how’s the new album going guys? Do you like the tour?” the lady asked. “yeah! It’s amazing, the fans are amazing so we want to thank every single one of them to be always here for us. It’s all for them.” Liam said. “so Louis, how is Sofie?” she asked, smiling. I liked this lady, she knew how to interview. “she’s good, I don’t see her much, of course cause we are on tour but I try to call her every day and she’s doing great!” he said, happily. But what everyone didn’t know except for me, was that she wasn’t great at all. She was a mess, she missed Lore so much, and I understand.

 I knew I loved Lore more than anything, I knew that I would always miss her, it’s an emptiness in me that can never be filled but I don’t understand the bond she has with Sofie. They are like each other’s other  half, twins. They love each other so much, they can’t live without each other. So deep in my heart I knew that Lore is probably the same, wherever she is. I knew she wouldn’t miss me, why would she. But she’s missing Sofie I just know that. I can’t help but still feel guilty, it’s my fault.

“so how’s love for you Harry after Lore?” she asked. I always get this questions, so I learned to answer them without thinking. “I didn’t find anyone else but I’m over her so yeah.” I said, faking a smile. “oh that’s nice, now some questions from the fans! The first one: What’s your favorite song on the album, this one is for Zayn.” She said. “I really like Little Things, it’s very touching and every girl should know that they are beautiful.” He answered, and the crowd started clapping.

“that’s very sweet Zayn, the next one is for Harry, how did you feel after you found out she cheated on you?” she asked. I knew this question would come. “I felt ehm betrayed and I never thought she would do something like this to me, but I forgive her. I mean I’m sure she had ehm her reasons.” I answered, not sure if it even made sense. I hope it did though.

“thank you Harry! Now it’s performance time! They boys are going to sing Little Things, from their new album Take Me Home, here tonight live. Enjoy!” she said, and the crowd started screaming and yelling.

Sofie’s P.O.V.

“so nothing new?” Alex asked on the phone. I was at my house, I didn’t sleep the last weeks, I almost didn’t eat, I searched through everything. She’s nowhere, nowhere to be found, like she just removed herself from the world without leaving anything behind.

Everyone told me to move on, but I can’t exactly move on when she’s part of me right? It feels like I’m not complete anymore, like I lost something very important. I can’t believe this all is really happening. I miss her more than anything.

“not really.” I said. “well Sofie, I know you love her and such and you’re desperate to find her back but… maybe you should give up now? She’s gone we’re not going to find her I’m sorry.” He said, as friendly as possible.

“not you too! I thought you promised we would never give up? I can’t give up on her!.. I can’t give up on my best friend, I just can’t” I said as I started sobbing. “shh it’s okay it will be okay, we tried, but we can’t find her I think we just have to start learning with the thought of living without her? I know it’s hard but we really tried, and if we keep going the only thing that will hit us is disappointment.” He said.
