•Clarke & Bellamy•

"Clarke. You're just a kid! You are not leaving this camp again. Do you hear me?"

"Mum. There are people out there who need us. Need me. I have to go."

"If you leave through that gate Clarke, there will be serious consequences. Am I clear?"

"I am not a kid Abby. When are you going to understand that you need to let me do what I have to do? Those are my people out there. And if you don't do anything soon, I promise you I will walk out of this camp and not come back until I find them."

By this point, the whole camp stood outside the door of the Ark, listening to Chancellor Abby and her daughter Clarke argue. They had argued before since the Ark made it down here, but this was by far the worst argument anyone had ever had here.

Clarke forced the door open, stopping when she noticed the whole camp watching her, even Kane. But by the time the door had slammed shut, she had already started for her tent.

"Shows over." Bellamy's voice echoed round the camp and Clarke silently thanked him.

By nightfall, everyone had stayed clear from Clarke, not wanting to anger her anymore than she already seemed to be. So she sat at a table alone, drinking Monty's famous moonshine.

Someone sat down opposite her, but instead of seeing who it was, she took the cup and emptied the rest of the drink, burning her throat as it went down.

"You probably shouldn't drink that much."

Clarke recognised Bellamy's voice, setting down the cup and glancing up at him.

"However," he continued, "after today, I think you need it."

"Yea. Sorry about before. I stopped everyone from working, when we need them working the most."

"Clarke," he reached across the table, gently placing his hand over hers, "You don't need to apologise. You wanted to get your people back. I understand that."

"Bellamy, I swear if Abby doesn't send out a search party soon, I'm going by myself."

"You won't be by yourself. Our people are still out there and who knows what they've already done to them."

He watched as a single tear fell down her cheek. No one had ever seen Clarke cry. She never showed that side of herself.

"I've seen what they do to people Bell."

His lips curled up into a smile when she called him Bell, but gently squeezed her hand, letting her know he was there.

"And you escaped it Clarke. Like Lexa said, no one escapes that damn mountain, but you did. You know why?"

Clarke looked up at Bellamy, searching his eyes for where he was going with this.

"Because you're strong. Because you don't take orders from anyone else. You do what you want to do, because you think it's right. That's why."

"Thank you Bellamy."

A silence hung between the two, until Clarke started smiling.

"What are you so happy about Princess?"

"Abby told me not to leave through that gate..."

"So we leave through the fence?" Bellamy questioned, smirking at Clarke's thinking.

"Exactly." She whispered, as her eyes lit up, before getting up and finding Raven, with Bellamy close behind.

"Hey Clarke. Bellamy. What's up?"
