"Oh bloody hell! I was already late." Harry Styles spoke, outraged as we stood trapped in an elevator in his managements building.
The lights began to flicker, sending me some hope that we would begin to ascend but then they stopped, crushing the little spark as soon as it started. I watched Harry as he walked up next to me and began pressing all the buttons that were present on the electrical panel.
"I don't think that's going to work." I hinted to the boy trying desperately to free himself--us from this catastrophe.
"At least I'm trying to get us out of here." He retaliated, disgust laced in his tone.
"Why are you being rude? It's not like I got us stuck in here." It's about time someone talked some sense into this kid if he thinks he can just be rude to anyone for no good reason.
I probably should have thought about what I was going to say before I said it though, because the look on his face could easily send a puppy running back into it's moms womb. Tommy, my younger brother, always told me I needed to think before I spoke and this was no exception.
Don't get me wrong, I loved the music One DIrection produced but I never really payed any attention to them as people. I heard from the news and magazines that they seemed to be cool guys, however I also heard that they were stuck up snobs. That could have very well been lies, but in that moment what I heard seemed to be correct.
"Why are you just standing there? Can't you do something?" This boy was really not making a good first impression.
"Pressing all the buttons at once in an elevator that currently does not seem to have power, besides the lights allowing me to see how much of an arrogant a.ss you are, is not a solution to getting us the he.ll out of this dam.n nightmare." Panting, I walk towards the back and sit down in the farthest corner away from Harry. I didn't dare look at his face after I said that because, frankly, the look he was giving me while I shouted at him was scary enough.
Staring at my fidgety hands in my lap, I heard him slide down against the doors then clear his throat, "I'm Harry Styles."
My eyes gazed up to see him staring at me intently, "Hello, Harry Styles."
Our eyes remained locked for a good minute until he spoke again, "And you are?"
"Annoyed that we're stuck together in this elevator."
"I was talking about your name. Not your feelings." He said, stretching his legs out infront of him.
"Yeah, I know." I told him, copying the same action.
"Wow, you really are a handful aren't you!" Sarcasm filled our small box.
I wasn't planning on letting him in so easily, I remembered reading one magazine and they were portraying him as this ladies man who could get any girl he wanted. He didn't need to know my name because as soon as I was out of this elevator I would never have to see him again. If I was supposed to interview to be the photographer for One Direction, there was no way I'd get the position now being fifteen minutes late and all, so there was really no point in telling him my name.
Harry pulled out his phone then threw it against the floor in frustration, "There's no freaking reception in this bloody lift." It slid all the way over to me so I picked it up and pressed the home button bringing it to life. His background was of some beach with a setting sun and a bird flying around, it was super artsy. I swiped up the camera option and took a few pictures of him sitting alone against the doors then switched the view so the camera was on me, I snapped a few selfies until he began to notice and jumped up before stomping over to me.
