I left the house and was now on my bus ride home when I got a text from Cleo.

'Y u late'

'Y u early '

'Oh, very funny'

'I kno - on ride home be bout 30 mins'

I sighed and rested back in my small and uncomfortable chair and closed my eyes until it was time for me to get off. I slowly exited the bus and walked down to my apartment, I opened the door and walked into the house.

" Cleo, I'm back." I closed the door behind me and began to walk down the hall and entered the living room - not there, I walked out of the living room and up the stairs to Cleos bedroom and to my surprise I found two familiar faces.

And one I hadn't seen in ages.

"Mari?! Mari that's you right?!" It was Olivia, how did I not realise?! She hadn't changed one bit - but she had grown taller, even taller than me . I stood there in the middle of the door way confused on what to say.

" you two... Know each other?" Cleo asked looking at me then Olivia. Oliva had put her hair up in a pony tail and had the same uniform as Cleo on .

" MARI! " she screamed at me , jumping and hugging me " I - we missed you so much ! Come back home!"

" what are you doing here!" I shouted at her pushing her away from me " I can't get rid of you - all of you!"

" Mari?" She wined taking a step back " Mari-"

" no!" I shock my head " what are you doing here! You don't even live down here!"

" I do now, I - I didn't know you lived here, I - I'm so happy" tears flooded her eyes as she smiled at me . I have an ugly looking face as if to say 'what the-'

" listen , I don't wanna get into any family business sooo" Cleo said resting age at her wardrobe

" she not family" I said at her " it doesn't matter any way , I'm goons take peppy for a walk" I turned round to walk out when Olivia grabbed my arm

" no! " she looked at Cleo who was now shocked and looked back at me to find out what was going to , I just shrugged and let Olivia continue " we are family- not technically but we kinda are - and Milly-"

" NO!" I shouted at her " don't ever mention that-"

" who's Milly?"

" she died-" I squeezed Olivia's arm and she screamed a bit letting go of me , I ran down the stairs and jumped out of the house , but before I did so I picked peppy up - who was standing next to the door- and left.

Peppy was Cleos pet chihuahua, it's was light brown and barked so much - however it was well trained so did not need a lead so I could take it for a walk with out it running away.

I placed peppy on the ground and watched as he sniffed my feet then walked toward a bit then turned back to look at me and barked as if to say 'are you coming or not?' I laughed a bit and smiled then took a step forward and he began to walk again.

I opened the door , i had been out in the dark with a chihuahua to protect me for 2 hours, I sighed as the door slowly swing open and peppy jumped in and ran straight upstairs . A few seconds later he ran back down and into the living room. I walked into the living room to see Cleo watching a murder mystery film , she spun her head to me and smiled , she was laying on the black sofa with her legs crossed and the TV remote in her hand , she paused the film, uncrossed her legs and pulled them closer other body and tapped the seat next to her

" come sit down, tell Ce-Ce all about it." She smiled at me . I looked at peppy who had now wrapped himself in a thick white blanket that Cleo had got him - that blanket had cost us £10! I don't even spend that much money in getting food , and I love food. Spoiled brat-dog , your not even a dog your just a giant cute looking rat! Spoiled rat. It had already fallen asleep , I sat down next to Cleo and looked at her.

" I know about Millys death."

" can we not talk about it "

"It wasn't your fault though"

It was - I know it was , I -I-

Tears started to fall down my cold face .

" come here you big wuss!" She smiled hugging me . Her hugs were so warm and gentle, they made me feel relaxed and I could stay like this for hours - I had once , I was also drunk that time ... I hugged her back

" it was , Olivia doesn't know the full story - no one does . J-just me ... Because - because I was the one who-"

" did you kill her?"

" i might of well had, I watched her di-" tears chocked out of me and even though I wasn't winning the tears where still pouring out with no end.

" well, you didn't kill her with your own hands " true " so you didn't kill her" but I did ...

It was pointless arguing with Cleo , she the type of person that wouldn't understand . The type that thinks it's all okay as long as you just don't think about it . The type that thinks they can do anything by them selfs and fix anything.

She rested her chin on top of my head and stroked the end of my hair still hugging me tightly, I pushed myself into her and snuggled up her warmth , she was also taller than me - I swear I'm like the only one who's smaller then everyone else- well out of my friends...

Cleo grabbed the remote and pressed play on the TV " you don't mind , do you?" I smiled weakly at her , grabbed her waist and hugged her tightly as she fell down and I laid next to her, she stroked my head and I snuggled into her then loosened my grip s bit , she crossed her legs and smiled at me .

" no" I smiled back at her . Her face lit up for a second

" ahh! Your so cute! " she hugged my head " your like a little baby kitten!" She screamed once more " y-your like a cute little anime - moe girl!"

I had no idea what she was talking about so I just laughed and closed my eyes as I fell asleep .
