Beyond the river .

It is what it is

" Mari, Mari!" Screamed Milly with her ginger frizzy hair that jumped up and down every took a step tears me as she ran . " Mari ! " she jumped up at my brother to get to me , by brother was completely shocked but he smiled to himself and placed me on the ground . I was still feeling dizzy and confused on what just happened but I was glad to see Milly , I hugged her and she hugged me back jumping up at me causing both of us to lose our balance and fall over giggling . My head spun and so did my eyes but I was happy and thought I was fine as long as Milly was here with me . A few seconds later Millys dad came out from the shadows with an angry expression but as soon as he saw my and Milly rolling about on the floor and sighed and walked over the my brother , they had a long and boring conversation so I didn't really pay attention, I was to busy playing with Milly and the huge stick she found ! It was amazing , almost as tall as me but it was very thin and soft.

"Mari?!" I heard another voice from the shadows , my mother came sprinting out between the trees and pulled me out of Millys grip making me squirm in her arms as she pulled me up and hugged me . She was so fast I didn't see her coming . She kissed my cheek and hugged , squeezing me so tight I could breath " oh my little angle ,where have you been ?! Don't you ever run off again ! Oh , I'm so glad we finally found you !" She kept talking and I couldn't tell if she was happy to see my or mad at me , I even saw her whipping away tears , did I make her sad?

" mum, I think she's had enough." Jowee said and I was glad he did or I would have been dead in her arms .

" yes! I better call everyone else!" She shouted dropping me to the ground , I landed on my butt and started shouting at the pain . She quickly spun back round and picked me up , hugged and kissed me once more and patted the dust off my sweater and shorts. " oh , dear I'm so sorry ! " she repeated over and over again , I looked at Milly who was covering her mouth because any moment now she was going to burst into fits of laughter, I couldn't help smile at her .

The whole family - and my mums and mine friends parents- were looking for me and now were sighing in relief . Most gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek and told me never to go into the woods again . I was confused on why but they were all sure that something dangerous was in that forest.

" how did you manage to get out alive ?" Peter asked me as he sat down , his hair was silk thin and was rushed neatly , he was wearing blue shirt and a brown shirt that said

In fancy writing, his skin was a bit tanned and he looked frightened to just be in the same forest as the ones in the scary stories. Milly was wearing a pink skirt with a pink t shirt that said

With a crown next to the writing.

Jeremy was wearing a plain orange t shirt with a picture of a turtle . His blonde hair covered his left eye like usual and he was staying close to his mum for comfort. Charlotte was wearing blue jeans with a white t shirt that had frilly buts at the end of each hole , her purple eyes glowing in the night. Fritz had ginger hair and was Millys older brother but only by one year , he had freckles on his cheeks and was wearing a blue beanie that sat on the top of his head , his ginger hair all over the place , he was wearing a t shirt that said

'Too cool for school'

On it and a pair of light blue shorts that were thin and had 2 pockets . Olivia had blonde hair that was pushed to one side , she was wearing a green jacket with her hands in her jean pockets . Harry was wearing a yellow t shirt with a football in the middle , his hair was spiked up and the moon reflected in his light green eyes , he was Charlottes younger brother . And Adam was wearing a Liverpool t shirt with white shorts , he looked like he was freezing but was never going to admit it and that made me laugh a little, Lucy , Harry and Charlottes older sister who was 16 years old , was also sitting with us , she was wearing a plain white thin dress that went down to just the end of her knees, her hair was straight but at the bottom it was curled . And dip dyed blonde at the bottom .

" she had her big brother Jowee! He saved her !" Milly screamed jumping up and down with energy .

" no I didn't!" I shouted laughing at Millys excitement

" then how did you ?" Lucy asked pulling a strand of her hair behind her ears .

" well, this guy found me !" All there eyes looked at me in horror " he told me there was a bridge and that if I followed it I would get home ! Also his name was snow !" They all started laughing apart from Fritz , Milky and Peter.

" first , who would name their child 'snow' " laughed Lucy " and second , no ones been alive in the forest since I was born ! Trust me ," she laughed patting me on the head " you have an active imagination Mari !"

" no ! It's true ! " I shouted

" i could've been her guardian angle " shouted Peter , he went to church every Sunday and was very religious.

" maybe " smiled Lucy

" or maybe it was one of those demons!" Shouted Harry waving his fingers in the air .

" d-don't say that!" Jeremy squealed taking another step closer to his mum , even though she was still far away .

" yeah, that kind of stuff is freaky!" Olivia said standing up and placing her hands in her hips .

" oh come on , it's only a story it's not actually true!" Adam smiled shacking his head and crossing his arms

" my mum says it's true !" Charlotte shouted " my mum never lies !"

" well she did !" Adam replayed smirking at her

" stop fighting !" Milly screamed

" yeah guys , it's getting boring " Fritz standing behind Milly .

" what do you think of it Lucy !" Adam asked

" it is what it is " she smiled leaving us all clueless then walked away

One by one my friends got called away and me being the last one left looked back at the forest and walked home with Jowee and my mum and dad .
