Chaoter twenty eight

"I didn't want to write a song cause I didn't want anyone thinking I still care I don't but you still hit my phone up" I sang to Skye and Lily as I made breakfast the next morning.

I was putting the mushroom, sausage, and tomato omelets on a playmate when Connor came down stairs dressed for the day.

"Hey hot stuff where you going today?" I asked giving him a kiss.

"Your baby shower is today at Hope and Tyler's house, didn't you remember?" He asked.

I shook my head and went to get ready. I showered and blow dried my hair straight.

I put on a baby blue shirt that said "oh boy!" On the tummy and my gray maxi skirt.

Baby boy was due in less than a month and I couldn't be more excited.

I slipped on my navy vans and we were out the door.

I walked in to see a bunch of my friends and family there. I hugged my mother and sat on the couch.

Lily came in wearing a shirt that was baby blue and Jake had one that was baby blue. Lily came and sat beside me and I socialized with people.

I took Braxton from his momma and played with him.

When it was time to eat we all prayed and dug in. We had various soups and stews and I decided on taco soup, my favorite.

After everyone ate we opened presents and ate cake.

"Paislyn it's time for you to make a speech" Hope said.

"I just wanted to say thank you everyone for coming and thanks for the gifts we already feel like this baby is the most loved baby ever, we couldn't be happier about bringing a little baby boy into the world. Thank you Hope and Tyler for hosting this whole thing and yeah thanks again" I said and Connor helped sit back down.

Being 8 1/2 months pregnant wasn't easy or fun.
We went home after everyone else left.

I woke up at 3 in the morning with terrible stomach pains.

"Owwww Connor baby this kid is coming" I said.
After he helped me up we were standing in the driveway when my water broke.
He grabbed the hospital bag and we stopped to get Hope and Tyler.

They sat in the back as Connor drove us to the hospital. I was in so much pain I could barely stand it.
When we walked in the sat me in a wheelchair and rolled me to a room.

The room was nice, it had a queen sized hospital bed and a tv and a big couch" Hope and Tyler sat on the couch while Connor either sat in the chair beside me or he laid in bed with me.

I watched my name is Earl most of the time.

"Okay Mrs.Franta labor is producing very slowly so we suggest you go for a walk and eat more ice chips" the nurse said.

I put on my fuzzy socks with the grippers in the bottom and walked while I scooted my IV drip thing along with me. I had to stop because I was in a lot of pain sometimes.

The whole walk Connor was feeding me ice chips.

We walked down to the Starbucks they had in the hospital and a nurse told me I could have iced coffee but nothing hot.

I got my iced coffee and we got everyone else something and we walked back to the room.
