Chapter twenty nine

"It's a boy!" The Doctor said as I pushed one last time.

Hope dabbed my head with a wet sponge and Connir cut the umbilical cord.

The doctor held him up so I could see him and he was precious. They took him to clean him and the nurse cleaned me up.

They finally brought him back to me and he was crying.

I held him while Connor stood beside me.

"He is so beautiful" I sniffled. It wasn't long before I was crying again. Connor took the baby from me and held him close.

I saw a tear roll down Connors cheek.
"This is my son" he said. I nodded and he kissed me.

They let people in 4 at a time.

First came in my mom and Cheryl, Tyler and Hope.
Then came in Connors siblings and my little brother.
Next was both of our grandparents, then some of our friends. Hope and Tyler spend the night in our room with us.

We decided to bottle feed. The nurse came in the next day with his birth certificate.

They did his feet prints and measured everything. They gave him a real bath and handed me him in a towel. I put him in a white onesie with blue stripes.
We swaddled him back up and put a gray hat on his head.

"Okay sweetie we need a name now" the black nurse said.

"His name is Elliot Joel Franta" I told her. Me and Connor both signed the birth certificate.

"While Joel?" Tyler asked.

"That's my great granddads, granddad, and dads, and mines middle name" Connor told him as he fed Elliot his bottle.

Hope was holding Elliot when Cheryl came in.
"I brought you something" she said looking at me.

She handed me a zaxbys bag and I hugged her really tight. This would be my first meal and it's my favorite.

I had a number one dinner plate with a box of White cheddar bites and a sweet tea. I was more than happy.

She held her grandson.
"So what do you want to be called?" Connor asked her.

"Oma" she said, Oma is what I called my grandmother it's a German/Irish word for grandmother. I'm a little German but I called my Oma, Oma because I couldn't say MeMaw. MeMaw was my mom.

She handed me back Elliot and left. I fed him and the nurse said we could take him home.

We put him in his going home outfit, a navy blue onesie with an E on the front and tiny gray sweatpants. He had on navy socks and a gray hat.

We put him in his car seat and I got dressed into black yoga pants and a T shirt.

I brushed my hair out and put on my shoes.

We put Elliot's binky in his mouth and Connor carried him as the nurse wheeled me out.

We put his car seat in the car and I sat in the back with him.
Connor drove us home .

When we got home Lily and Skye were so excited.
We put Elliot on the kitchen table and let them smell his blanket first. Once they smelt that we out his car seat with him still in it on the ground.

The smelt if him and he got a lick to the face from Lily.

I got him out of the Car seat and took him upstairs into his nursery. Connor followed me and watched as I showed Elliot around his room.

I carried him into our bedroom and showed him the thing beside our bed that he would be sleeping in.

We also had one downstairs for when we weren't upstairs.

When we got back down I fixed him a bottle as he started to fuss. I stuck the bottle in his mouth and sat in the couch with the Boppy.

I burped him and we have him a sponge bath. By a sponge bath I mean he laid on the counter naked and angry while we used soapy water to wipe him down.

When we were done I carried him upstairs and put him in a brown onesie that had a blue cartoon dog on it and some little blue socks.

I carried him back downstairs and gave him to his daddy so I could shower. When I got out of the shower I walked downstairs to see that Connor had made us grilled cheeses and fries for dinner. I kissed his cheek as I walked by the couch.

I sat down beside him and we ate while Elliot chilled in his swing.

We had a good first couple of nights with our little guy.
