-Lunas pov -
Down the huge stairs to our lovely mother in the kitchen with our breakfast. And hopefully I'll be fed dismorning unlike yesterday when I was "sarcastic" and was "unladylike" and told I was going without food. I smelled eggs, hashbrowns, and cinnamon rolls. Looks like im pretending to be the nice well behaved girl she wants me to be. I wish there was someone out there that actually cared about me instead of just my "behavior". I sighed heavily and entered the kitchen. The caring words I heard my mother say made me all that much happier, "Stop slouching, or sighing, look at your sister and how proudly she holds her head up." I smiled when I really wanted to scowl and just nodded tightly and sat "elegantly". Mother Gothel shook her head grimly, "What am I going to do with you Luna, Rapunzel is my favorite daughter." Rapunzel sat a little straighter in her chair at those words but frowned slightly when she finally comprehended them. She started to speak but I shook my head. The breakfast was eaten in silence with the clinking of metal hitting china.
As soon as breakfast was finished I went back upstairs to paint while Mother Gothel went to teach Rapunzel how to be lady like which she gave up with me on. I snickered mentally and started going through "ladylike" actions. I sat down and folded my skirts under me. Then I reached my hand up to an imaginary guy and stood up nicely having my skirts unfold so they swept around me. I started laughing at what she would think if she walked in and seen me dancing with an imaginary partner. I shook my head and then went to explore the tower. I always have wanted a way out of this living dungeon. I decided the kitchen staff would need an exit from this place to the village beyond. I crept down the stairs to the kitchen and scurried behind a cart full of fresh vegetables before the staff could see me. The chef walked into the walk in fridge to get something out. I raced over and put a door jam under it so he couldn't get out. I crept away down the hall looking for anything that wouldn't be a likely place for a trap door. I seen a wooden boards under the bookshelf full of recipes.
I pushed it aside, and it was actually quite easy - it was on wheels. And I had been right - there was a door. I opened it to simply reveal a room below it full of vegetables and fruits, but I wasn't going to give up so easily. I walked over to a torch hooked on the wall and took it down. I carried it over to peer into the dark cellar. There wasn't any stairs just a rope. I stared at it - it looked like a long braid of gold hair. I sighed, if I wanted to escape it was going to be hard I knew that much. I dropped my legs over the edge and wrapped them around the rope and then put all of my wait on the rope and started sliding down quickly. I held in a scream as I plummeted to the ground, 10 feet....9 feet.....I frantically gripped the rope tighter with my one hand....8 feet.....7 feet......6 feet......5 feet.....I closed my eyes tightly waiting for the impact.......4 feet....3 feet.....suddenly a pair of hands grabbed my waist stopping my fall. "And you must be one of the prize daughters of Gothel."
