-- Brant's Pov --

The life of a thief is exciting, dangerous and interesting - usually. When we aren't listening to our boss that is. I mean I'm totally awesome why should I have to take orders? I would love nothing more then to stab that conceited bastard. But I could only do that if there was a reason - so far there was none. I sat down heavily at the wooden table groaning at what our "leader" would do this time. Luke was drumming his fingers on the table muttering to himself, "I should be the leader, I am much wiser! He will bow before me soon!" I shook my head and turned to him flashing my trademark grin, "Oh Luke you crack me up." He just crossed his arms and leaned back in his chair his blonde hair covering his eyes. The Duke as he preferred being called came in to the meeting room where all of us thieves were gathered around the table. "I have called you here today to tell you that the capture of a few village women went successfully and we will be able to sell them as slaves. And --" He was broken off by a rugged cheer set off by a black haired lad around my age named Luke. Duke froze us with a chilling ice cold gaze, "Now where was I before I had been interrupted? Oh yes, Gothel the presiding "ruler" over this village we plundered, has two prize daughters. One Rapunzel the favored daughter, and the second Luna. She keeps both locked securely in a tower fortress with only one entrance for the staff to enter, and exit. It is up to two of you to kidnap them for ransom or selling off as slaves." None of my fellow men volunteered and Duke shook his head looking amused, "Did I mention that they would have to be pretty in order to have a reason for Gothel to lock them up?" Several men raised their hands voluntarily. Duke cruelly grinned, "I'll pick Brant, and Trevor." I groaned, those daughters probably didn't want to leave which means I'm in for a fight.

I crouched behind a wheelbarrow watching a blonde girl in a maid outfit walking towards a bush. Trevor agreed to meet up with me to get the twins - I have to find the entrance. So far I had been following the maid hoping she'd lead me to the entrance/exit. Looks like its about to pay off. She checked behind to her to make sure no one was watching. Then as expected she walked through the bush. I counted to 10 before I stepped out from behind the wheelbarrow. I was dressed perfectly for sticking to the shadows. All dark but the dilemma was if I get caught I have no chance of fitting in as a cook or manservant. Therefore I checked both ways and walked brazenly across to the bush. As I walked through a few branches scratched across my torso snagging the cloth and ripping it. I managed to get through the bush with a little of my slashed down the middle shirt in tact.

I glanced around me to see three doors- all alike. I'm guessing I have to pick a door. I crouched down to see which door had the most footprints. The one in the middle had a path worn into it, the left door had a few footprints. And the right one had none. I figured it had to be the one in the middle. I turned the doorknob and found a tunnel with three connecting passageways. All heading in the same way. Well I didnt need to go to all that work after all. They all head in the same direction! I didn't bother grabbing a torch because then they could see me. Which I didnt want - I wanted to be silent and hidden like a ninja. I rested a hand on my sword incase I was spotted. Quickly I reached the end of the tunnel and faced a stone wall with a moon and a sun etched to the right and a name above each. Hmm....I wonder..... I pressed the sun and nothing happened. I wonder if each name goes to one or the other... I pressed the moon and then the name Luna, I mean the name Luna means moon so makes sense. The door opened halfway but it was too small for me to squeeze through. So Rapunzel means the sun then, I tapped the sun and then Rapunzel. The door finished opening completely. I unsheathed my sword so I was ready for anything in there. I walked in and the door shut behind me.

Nothing but vegetables and fruits with a long golden rope in the middle of the room..... I slipped my sword back. Maybe you have to tug on it? I pulled but nothing happened. I heard footsteps, my eyes narrowed as I jumped behind a rack of fruit. Surprisingly a small door lifted to the right of the rope. A girl sighed and all of a sudden I seen one silver sandaled foot appear over the ledge and another. Both wrapped around the rope and started sliding down as a brown haired girl in a bluish silver dress came sliding down the rope with a hand on the rope and the other holding a torch.

You could easily see that she was one of the daughters escaping, maybe this mission wouldnt be so hard after all. She began screaming as she neared the end of the rope - the idiot! Why isnt she unwrapping her feet? She'll land on her feet then but the way she was falling and the speed at which she was falling. She could very easily get badly hurt. I sighed heavily and jumped out from behind the rack and caught her around the waist before she fell and the first words I said were, "You must be one of the prize daughters of Gothel."
