Jealousy

Eventually, the weekend ended. And unfortunately for Pit, that meant he had to go back to school. Dark Pit flew him there, and together, they walked inside, hand in hand. The raven wasn't one for holding hands or anything mushy, but he didn't want to leave Pit alone with anyone, and as long as he was beside him, no one would would mess with him.

He leaned against some unoccupied lockers as he waited for his boyfriend to gather his things.

'Hmm...boyfriend...' he thought to himself. It sounded weird to him. He never thought he'd ever use the word on Pit.

Said boy closed his locker with a sigh. "I should be getting to class now" he said.

"You gonna be alright by yourself?" Pittoo asked.

Pit shrugged. "I guess. I've made it this far. Can't back down now. Anyways, see you at lunch~"

The brunette smiled and hugged him genuinely before retreating to class. Dark Pit watched him go before hearing footsteps behind him. He turned around and saw three females walking towards him. An attractive, ginger haired girl stopped beside him.

"What do you want?" he asked.

"So like, are you and that other kid..." She leaned in. "You know...dating?"

"What's it to you?"

"Don't be so hostile. I'm merely curious is all."

He sighed and glared at the girls. "Yes, I suppose I AM dating Pit. So you can tell your clique, better yet, the ENTIRE SCHOOL that he's off limits and you shouldn't mess with him."

She smiled at him with playful brown eyes. "Or what~?" she asked mischievously, but gasped when Pittoo slammed his hand down on the locker a few inches from her body.

"Or I'll make your life a living hell" he threatened. "I'll never understand any of you bitches and why you guys insist on ruining everyone's lives."

The raven turned around and began to walk off, but stopped. "So I suggest you and the school leave us the fuck alone" he added as an afterthought before leaving.

"Are you alright, Haysley?" the blonde girl asked as she placed a manicured hand on her friend's shoulder. The ginger scowled and slapped it away.

"Don't TOUCH me" she growled as she straightened her clothes and hair. "I can't believe this. I've always had a crush on him and that, that OUTCAST catches his eye instead?"

The goth decided to speak for the first time. "You've only known him for a week. In fact, this was the first time you've actually spoken to him."

"Shut up, Tira." She smiled. "He called me a bitch. If he thinks I'm a bitch now, then he's in for a big surprise later."

Haysley twirled around to face the other two. "And you guys are gonna help me."

Pit walked over to the side of the school building during lunchtime. Just as he predicted, Dark Pit was slumped down against the wall as per usual. He slid down beside him with a smile.

"I thought I'd find you here" he said, making Pittoo roll his eyes.

"Yes, because I totally have more important things to be doing right now" he replied sarcastically, making Pit laugh.

"Whatever" he said, still smiling, although it faded within a couple of seconds.

"Pittoo...did anyone-?"

"No" he interrupted, already knowing what he was going to say. "Don't worry so much about what others think, Pit."

He sighed, exasperated. "I can't help it! I don't wanna ruin your reputation or anything!"

Dark Pit raised an eyebrow. "What reputation?"

"You know! Everyone thinks of you as that 'cool, stoic kid!'"

The raven sighed. "Pit, I've told you a million times already. I don't care what people think of me. Get that through that thick skull of yours."

For emphasis, he knocked his knuckles gently on Pit's forehead, making him wince.

"Okay, okay, I'll stop worrying."

"Good."

As a reward, he leaned in and gave the brunette a small kiss, making his heart throb. Pit rested his head on Dark Pit's shoulder as nostalgia rushed through his veins. As this happened...

Three girls were inside the school corridor, attempting to bust into Dark Pit's locker.

"Damnit!" Haysley yelled in anger as she punched it. "This is impossible!"

"I wouldn't say impossible" Tira said with a creepy grin as she pushed the ginger aside, earning a glare in the process. She simply smashed her fists into it a few times before pulling, and just like that, the locker opened.

"Hmph." Haysley merely scoffed as she shoved the goth away and took a look. She pulled out a black schoolbag and opened it, fishing through it until she found an equally black phone.

"Got it!"

She closed the bag and placed it back in before shutting the locker door, fleeing with her clique.

When it came time to leave school, Dark Pit grabbed his bag from his locker, not realizing his phone was missing, as he rarely used it. He flew Pit back back to Palutena's Palace and left for wherever it was he went when he was alone.

Late into the evening, while Pit was playing video games, he got a text from Dark Pit's phone.

Meet me behind the school building b4 class

The brunette tilted his head in confusion before replying.

Y?

I have to talk 2 u bout something important. Just come

Y not tell me now?

Just do it, k?

Pit furrowed his eyebrows, but shrugged before responding.

K

He set his cellphone down slowly and picked his controller up before dropping it in distress.

"Oh my gosh! What if he wants to break up with me?!"

He jumped up from his spot on his bed and began to pace his room frantically.

"We haven't even been together a whole WEEK!"

He grabbed his Pittoo plush and shook it before staring it down.

"What did I do wrong?! Was I too clingy?! Did I talk too much?!"

He was silenced by the sound of knocking.

"Pit?"

Palutena entered the room with a frown laced within her features.

"O-oh, hi, Lady Palutena..."

He quickly hid the plush behind his back.

"Uh, is everything okay in here? I heard a lot of yelling..."

"Everything's fine, really. Just a little stressed out is all."

"Are you sure?"

"Yep!" Pit smiled. "Don't worry about me!"

After a few seconds, Palutena smiled back. "Alright, then. Well, dinner's almost ready, so can you help me set the table?"

"Sure! Be down in a sec."

The goddess nodded before walking away. Pit let out a breathy sigh and tossed the plush back onto his bed.

'I'm worrying too much' he thought as he walked over to his window.

'I'm sure whatever it is he wants to talk about is completely rational.'

He sighed again.

'I hope.'
