A/N: Two updates in 24 hours because it's too cold and snowy to do much else...also I think I'm gonna start actually naming the chapters. Outfit is in the external link. Thank you all for the votes and comments...it makes my day:)

"Fuck!" Mati exclaimed as she collided with another body.

It was the morning of the first game of the playoffs. The Hawks were taking on the Stars in the first round. Coach Q wouldn't let them be, but most of the players were confident in this series.

It was also the day that she and Jon were meeting his parents for dinner after the game. If they won, it would only add to Jon's good mood. If they lost, it was something to take his mind off of things-like that ever happened.

Mati scrambled to grab everything she had dropped on the floor. When she finally looked up to apologize, there was a girl with brown eyes that reminded her of Emily Rudd standing in front of her. She was intimidatingly pretty but had an amused look on her face.

"I am so sorry." Mati gushed to her.

The girl smiled at her. "It's okay, everyone is running around like crazy today. I get it!"

Mati noticed the staff polo she had on.

"Thanks for being understanding but I'm still sorry. It's just been one of those days and probably will continue to be." Mati sighed then laughed.

"I'm Jamie." The girl stuck her hand out.

Mati grabbed it and shook it.

"Mati." she replied to Jamie.

Jamie helped her gather up her things and handed them to Mati.

"Thanks again for helping me grab these things."

"It's not a problem." Jamie told her. "I have to get back to work, but I'll probably see you around."

Mati continued on to her destination of the security office to get the rest of the credentials printed for tonight.

8 hours later, Mati was dressed in her Northface with a Toews shirsey underneath it clutching the table in the press box in front of her as she silently counted down the last 20 seconds of the game. Seguin had a breakaway and she thought that was it but Corey blindy stopped it. She could feel the relief as everyone realized he had gloved it.

3, 2, 1! She counted down with the rest of the UC as she made her way downstairs. Tammy knew this was her first playoff experience, so she let her watch the entire game before she had to come down to help run the presser. The boys had beat the Stars 3-2. Jon had assisted but hadn't scored and she already knew it would keep him up tonight.

As she made it down to the locker room door, she silently thanked God that she was interning, and wouldn't have to wait out in the family area and have to meet Jon's parents already, without him. She wasn't sure why she was so nervous but she felt like she was going to throw up. Maybe because she hadn't had to meet the parents since AJ's and she really knew they needed to like her or Jon might change his mind. She shook the thoughts out of her head as she met Tammy.

An hour later, she finally had ushered all the guys through except her's and he was up next. As he pushed opened the locker room doors, the contemplative look on his face was broken the moment he saw her. He grinned and gave her a kiss.

"Nice job tonight baby. I'm so proud of you!" she squealed as he wrapped her in a hug.

"I should have scored a goal." he mumbled into the top of her head.
