I know I said before that this felt wrong since we're both guys but that's a lie. Maybe I was denying what I felt then but this can't feel anymore right, what I'm doing now. I never hated Renji-kun, ever. We've looked out for each other since we were kids.
To me, Renji-kun is a very treasured friend. Maybe I that's why I'm ok with this now, having brotherly love become something more.
The first time when I was first introduced to Renji-kun and the old man's wife, I felt like I was intruding.
Though one thing I did feel back then was gratitude to them for taking me in when I had nowhere to go. I decided then that I would do anything to pay them back for all their help. Since I was a kid back then there was nothing I could really do for them.
There might not be anything I can do for them, but there is something I can do for Renji-kun. If Renji-kun really loves me in the way he says he does, then maybe I can give this one thing to him. Either way, since it's him, I know it's the right thing to do regardless, because I love him.
"Renji-kun." I pull away from him. "Don't move." His body automatically stills this time at my tone. My hand on it's own moves to stroke his face. I slide my fingers across his lips and through his hair. I reach up and kiss his lips. I can tell he's surprised that I did this because his eyes are open, looking back at me in shock.
I laugh and rest my forehead against his and close my eyes. "I love you." My voice rings out, clear and concise. I don't want there to any mistake.
"You what?" Renji-kun looks back at me in shock.
"Oh for fucks sake I just told you, baka!" I bump my head against his, resulting in Renji-kun wincing but losing his dumbfounded look. I give him a look, I am not in the habit of repeating myself.
"Alright I heard you the first time!" Renji-kun huffs, a smile blooms across his face.
"Good." I contain a grin.
