Okay I've edited this chapter as best I could. If there are still any mistakes please feel free to point them out. Enjoy!

Lux's P.O.V.

Bright lights were flashing as I was being rolled down the hospital hallway. My whole body hurt and I was trying hard not to fall asleep. I could hardly hear what everyone was saying.

"What happened to her?" the lady in the white lab coat asked the nurse in blue.

"She was pushed out of the two story high school building. The teachers say it was the kids that bully her," the nurse replied.

"High school kids can be monsters, just last week she was in here for a fractured wrist," the lab coat lady stated.

Yeah I get bullied because I'm the nerd. I've spent more time in the hospital that anywhere else. My name is Lux Gryeson and I'm 17 years old. I go to Sonrise high school where I'm constantly bullied because I'm not popular. I have no friends and no family. I live in a foster home because both my parents died and there's no family left either (well apart from my uncle but he doesn't want me). I've gotten used to being on my own since my foster parents are not exactly loving.

I have over $4000 saved up from my job, I really want to get emancipated but I've been denied. No one really wants to adopt a teenager so I have to stay in the system until I'm 18. No one from school knows about my parents or anything else. I don't plan on telling them because I hate pity.

"Okay Lux hold still sweetheart, you've broken a few bones," the nurse lightly pushed me down. They gave me a sedative and I fell asleep.

I woke up a few hours later with my one leg and my one arm in a cast. My body still hurt a lot, probably just a bit bruised. I looked around, my foster parents probably called my caseworker and kicked me out. It always happens to me, this has been my forth foster home this year. No one wants a kid that spends a lot of time in the hospital.

"Hi Lux, how do you feel?" my doctor came into the room. Me and Dr. Anderson are almost best friends. Since I spend a lot of time here I know almost half the staff.

"It's me, I'm always in pain," I joked and she smiled at me but it quickly disappeared. I sighed, my foster parents kicked me out.

"Lux, I'm sorry but they-," she looked at me sadly.

"-don't want me anymore," I cut her off. I'm used to it. I stopped relying on people when I was four, I also stopped crying too.

"When is Dan coming?" Dan is my caseworker and he usually shows up after she delivers the news.

"He'll be here soon," she got up and left just as Dan came in.

"Lux, not again," he looked down at me with disappointment. Dan knew I got bullied but he says I get hurt because I allow it to happen. Somehow it's always my fault.

"Yeah I did it again because I just love getting hurt," I snap at him sarcastically.

"Lux you have to stop this. The Redds don't want you anymore, this was your last strike. Come on Lux just try that's all I ask of you. The Wilsons are willing to take you but you have to stay out of trouble or you're done. I'm serious Lux," he raised his voice to make his point.

"I promise I'll try," I sighed.

"Thank you, you move in with them once you get released. I'll pick you up tomorrow," he said and left. A police officer came in and sat down.

"Hello Lux, I'm officer Diaz. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?" he pulled out his notepad and pen.

"Sure, go ahead, " I said trying to sit up a bit.

"Could you give me the names of the people who pushed you out of the window?" he said looking at me. I hate those people and they hate me but if I rat them out things will only get worse.

"I can't exactly do that," I replied. He frowned and moved to the edge of the chair.

"Lux you could have been killed. From what I've heard this isn't the first time you've been in here for broken bones. Cough up the names please?" he ordered. I sighed, the sooner I do this the sooner he'll leave.

"If I told you it wouldn't be any use, they're rich kids so their daddies will do anything to keep their records clean," I stated and he sighed.

"I still need those names, Lux if you get killed next time they will go to prison. So please give me their names," he stood up and walked closer to me.

"Steven Donalds, Claire Tanner, the Jocks and the Claire Tanner Plastics," I finally gave in.

"Thank you, I'll see you tomorrow Lux," he wrote down the names then left. The nurse came in and made sure I was comfortable and ready for bed.

"Good night sweetheart," she said and left. I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
