Lux's P.O.V.

It's been three years since Steven and I got married. We moved into a small house, still in town, but a bit away from the mansion. After our honeymoon which consisted of me, Steven and Nia we went to college. Steven ended up taking over the company from David and well I decided to become a nurse. I'm still in studying though, I wanted to be a personal caretaker instead but still have a degree in nursing. For the year Steven was in college I was at home taking care of our baby. She was still too young and I just couldn't stand staying away from her that long. Nia May is almost three years old and her birthday is tomorrow. Steven has taken a day off from work and we're going to visit the mansion to celebrate. However, let me first explain what has happened to the rest of the family.

Shelly and her husband is still happily raising their son in New York and will be coming to visit us soon.

Mia ended up leaving her husband and got remarried to David. They are now living the happiest life ever. Josh decided to stay with his mom and only see his dad on certain days of the week. The small little buddy has grown and will start first grade soon.

Zach and Lina got engaged a few months ago, their wedding is next year. They're happily living in California raising Lina's sister together. The little girl will be turning six next month. Zach decided to take over his dad's business to please his grieving mother after his father passed away last year.

Angelique and Scott are happily living in the family cabin raising a four year old Lucas. The little boy looks more like his dad everyday. Angelique says she'll be seeing us soon because there's some news she'd like to tell the whole family face to face.

Grandma McNally ended up marrying her her best friend from years before she met Grandpa McNally. They are now living happily married up in the mountains.

Claire Tanner from high school joined the army after high school in honor of her mom. We ran into each other about a year ago and she ended up apologizing for everything she has ever done to me. She is now married and has a baby on the the way. She and her husband live on a small acreage just outside of town.

Cousin William and his daughter live right next door to us. Every Sunday she comes over and we back all kinds of cookies. I love spending time with her. When William has to work Adella just stays with me or goes to my Uncle's house where my step aunt looks after her. William and Adella joins us for dinner every Tuesday and Thursday night and Steven just love getting to know them. Adella especially loves playing with Nia May.

My uncle and his wife have moved into a house not far from the school. They decided that after school Adella could stay with them until William gets off from work. My uncle and I took a long time to mend our fragile relationship with one another and I'm proud to say that all the anger that I've had has completely disappeared. We are finally able to put the past behind and build a future.

"Steven, do you have the baby bag?" I called from the house as I grabbed the cake and locked the door.

"Yes, it's already packed in the cat, " he replied. He was putting Nia in her car seat, making sure that her straps were secure and snug around Nia.

"Let's go, we still have to go get Adella from my uncle's place," stated getting into the passenger seat with the cake on my lap.

"Yes, dear," he replied smirking. We drove for about five minutes before we arrived at my uncle's house.

"I'll be quick stay on the car and hold the cake," I smiled handing Steven the cake. I quickly made my way to the door and walked into the house.

"Adella, it's time to go sweetheart!" I called from downstairs. The little girl came running over to my with her arms wide open.

"Auntie Lux!" She explained hugging my legs. I chukkled and picked her up.

"You ready to go party?" I asked.

"Let's go," she pumped her fist in the air. I chukkled and set her down.

"Bye uncle John! I'll see you later," I called and walked out the house back to the car. I made sure Adella was strapped in before we drove to the mansion. We arrived about ten minutes later with Josh waiting for us in front of the house.

"What took you guys so long?" He asked stomping his little foot on the ground. I smiled at him shaking my head.

"Come here, I want you to meet someone," I said motioning for him to come see. Steven was busy unbuckling Nia from her seat. I open the door to an excited Adella who quickly got our running into Josh. They both fell and groaned as they tried getting up.

"Hey, watch where your going," Josh muttered getting up.

"Sorry, I didn't see you," Adella apologized. Once they saw each other they looked suprised.

"I'm Josh," he introduced himself.

"And I'm Adella. Do you want to go play?" She asked getting up.

"Sure, follow me," he said grabbing her hand and running off.

"Hey, don't go too far!" Steven called after them but I doubt that they heard him. He was holding Nia in his arms with the bag over his shoulder. I took the cake and we made our way inside the house and out to the back yard. Sitting there was Mia and David enjoying each other's company.

"They're here," Mia smiled walking over to Steven.

"Hi, mom, he kissed her cheek and then handed Nia to her.

"Oh I'll never get over how cute my grandchild is," she gushed kissing Nia's cheeks making her giggle.

"Let's sit down," I suggested setting the cake on the table.

"Hi dad," I smiled giving David a hug. We let go and everyone sat down.

"I'll go get Josh and Adella so we can sing happy birthday," Steven said walking in the direction of the garden.

"Who is Adella?" David asked taking Nia from Mia.

"Oh she's my cousin's daughter. I thought I'd bring her along since he's working," I smiled as Steven walked back towards us with Adella and Josh following.

We sat down around the table with Nia on David's lap while everyone sang happy birthday. She giggled the whole time because Steven was making funny faces at her.
In the three years that have passed I could say that we were living a happy life.

That night I was sitting outside watching the stars. I was thinking about my parents and how they were looking over me every night.
Steven joined me and just sat there holding my hand.

"I love you, baby girl," he whispered.

"I love you too," I replied kissing him. We layed down on the grass looking up at the stars. I was happy and I wanted to keep living happily ever after. I closed my eyes, drifting off into sleep. Slowly all stars fade...
