Chapter 27- Coming home

Steven's P.O.V.

The plane landed just a few minutes ago and I could see Lux was happy to be home. She was carrying a sleeping Josh while I carried our luggage. My dad was waiting for us down in the parking lot when we got there.

"How was your flight?" He asked taking Josh from Lux.

"It was long and tiring but I'm glad to be home," she replied getting into the car. I loaded the luggage into the back and got in too.

"Where's mom?" I asked buckling my seat belt.

"She's waiting at home with aunt Shelly. They'll be staying with us until the aunt Shelly gives birth," he replied driving home.

"I bet Josh will be glad to see mom,"I commented looking back. He was still asleep but I noticed Lux fell asleep too.

"How's Lux doing?" He asked glancing at me.

"She's doing fine, she gets a little nauseous at times and a bit tired buy she's fine," I smiled looking ahead.

"That's good,  what will you do once the baby is born?" He asked and I knew where the conversation was leading to.

"Can we please not start this now, I'm tired. Look I will take care of both Lux and my baby. I'm not going to let her raise the baby alone. It takes two to tango. I'm going to marry her as soon as I can and we will be a happy family," I explained looking at him.

"How will you raise your kid if you can barely stay out of trouble. Steven you have to leave the gang for a while and raise that child. That baby will never have to decide whether it wants to join or not. It's your job to keep them safe and away from gang activity. I don't want my grandchild growing up with that much violence around it," he replied pulling up to the house.

"I wasn't planning on letting my kid join and it might be your grandchild but you don't get to tell me how to raise it. If I need your help I'll ask for it," I announced getting out of the car and walking over to Lux. I pick her up bridal style and carry her inside while David carries Josh.

"You're finally home," my mom says relieved running to me.

"Shh, she's sleeping. Let me put her to bed and then we can talk," I suggest walking up the stairs to my room. I gently lay her down and pull the covers over her. I smile down at her just looking at her sleeping face. Oh god how u love her so much. I'll try my fucking best to look after them both and provide them with a happy life. I leave the room after ten minutes making my way back downstairs to the living room where everyone was waiting. My step dad was sitting next to my mom. My Aunt Shelly was sitting next to my uncle and my dad was sitting in a single chair at the door.

"So how was England?" Shelly asked excitedly.

"It was hard for Lux and Josh but I'd say it was okay," I replied sitting down.

"Are you guys going to school tomorrow?" My mom asked.

"Yes Lux doesn't want to miss another week of school. She's already stressed out about exams and they don't happen until after Christmas break," I chukkled to myself.  My significant other was the biggest nerd I've ever met.

"She shouldn't be so stressed you guys have time, school only started about two weeks ago," my step dad commented.

"Yes, he's right my darling. Take it easy," Shelly cut in.

"Well I'm hungry so I'm going to go make some food for me and Lux does anyone else want something?" I asked hoping they'd say no though.

"No thanks, we already ate but could you make something for Josh too. I know he's going to be hungry when he wakes up," my mom asked. I just nodded and left the living room.

"Lux, wake up baby girl. I made you some food," I said shaking her gently. She opened her eyes and sat up.

"Thanks," she replied rubbing her eyes.

"It's just some soup and some tea to get something into your body," I added handing her a bowl with a spoon.

"Where is everyone?" She asked taking a sip and smiling. She loved my soup.

"They're downstairs discussing Aunt Shelly's hospital dates for next week," I replied sitting down on the bed.

"Oh, I'll go say hi after I finish my meal, "she announced sipping more soup from her bowl.

"There's no rush," I smiled putting a stray strand of hair behind her ear. I waited until she finished eating then went downstairs with her.

"Good afternoon everyone," she smiled sitting down on the couch.

"Hey, how do you feel?" Shelly asked pushing herself up a bit.

"I'm just a little tired but other than that I'm fine. How do you feel?" Lux asked.

"Oh you know the usual. My back aches, I'm uncomfortable and I just wish I could hold this munchkin inside me in my arms already," Shelly said rubbing her big belly. Lux smiled at her.

"I'm so glad to be home again. I missed this big place a lot," Lux stated looking around.

"Good," my dad said standing up. He walked towards her and gave her a hug.

"I've missed having you and Steven around," he said letting go of her. She smiled at him.

"I've going to go upstairs and go to bed. I'm really tired and I want to be refreshed tomorrow for school so good night everyone," Lux bid everyone good night and went up stairs.

"I think I'm going to join her, see you all tomorrow morning. Good night," I said walking upstairs too.
Today has been a very long day but I know tomorrow will be an even longer day. God only know what has happened in my absence.
