Chapter 14
Opening the door, all five One Direction boys crowded into the room which was suddenly dwarfed by the numbers.
Harry immediately jumped onto the bed, launching Claire almost a foot into the air, earning heaps of laughter from her little body. Harry laughed too. Louis jumped on top of Harry and started tickling him. Liam, forever the responsible one, began trying to break them apart. Zayn meandered over to the window and pulled the curtains aside to admire the view.
“Wow, this is sick,” he said.
Niall wrapped his arms around my waist, not wanting to interfere with the other boys.
I leaned into his chest and watched as Louis pulled Liam onto the bed too, a look of shock plastered across Daddy Direction’s face. I couldn’t help but laugh. Liam squealed as Harry rolled over and flipped the older boy over, pinning him down and tickling him. Claire was giggling like crazy. She eased herself off of the bed, removing herself from the tangled boys.
“This could take a while,” Niall murmured into my ear. I laughed and joined Claire on the edge of my parent’s bed to watch the wrestling match continue.
A few minutes later, Louis had Harry straddled between his legs, and was tickling the curly haired boy on the sides of his stomach, his laughter filling up the entire room. Liam sat up from his position parallel to Harry and shoved Louis off the bed onto the floor. He then rolled Harry over a few times, and pushed him off the bed on top of Louis, earning an “ow” from them both.
The remaining four of us were doubled over laughing. Liam meanwhile was flexing on top of the bed making “grr” noises like he was some professional body builder.
“Are you lads finished?” Zayn asked.
“Not quite,” Louis’ voice piped up from the floor. As we watched, Louis sprung up, launched across the bed, and tackled Liam, bringing him with him to the floor on the other side.
“Now we’re finished,” Louis said, clambering off of Liam and helping the other boy up.
Harry popped up from the opposite side of the bed, and joined the rest of us.
A few minutes and many laughs later, all seven of us were out of the room, and down in the lobby.
We exited the building in our pack. The boys headed towards Harry’s Black Range Rover while I headed for the mini cooper.
After buckling up, and selecting a song from my playlist, Get Lucky by Daft Punk, I pulled out of the Hyatt parking lot, the boys on my tail. At this time of day, the roads weren’t incredibly busy. Pedestrians on vacation like myself and Claire crossed the street, sometimes jaywalking, an action that always pissed me off.
When we reached the Westfield shopping center, Claire helped me locate a spot where I was at minimal risk of door dings, and where the boys could pull in next to me. Typical teenage guy style, Harry came screaming into the space to my immediate right, slamming on the breaks at the last minute. I couldn’t help but shake my head and chuckle.
When everyone was out of the cars, and we had double checked that they were both locked, the seven of us made out way towards the mall. We entered Macey’s and wove our way between the aisles, past racks of clothing and shoes and handbags. Niall took my hand in his and smiled down at me.
I knew my way around this mall better than any of the boys, so I led the pack. Outside of Macy’s, we turned right and made our way to Forever 21.
At the store’s entrance I turned to face the boys and Claire. Harry and Louis were in the middle of a very immature slap fight, but stopped when they noticed that I was watching.
