Scene 42: Oliver's Hospital Room

Doctors and nurses are bustling about around Oliver's Hospital bed

Oliver: *Sits up straight quickly* Huh? What's going on?

Doctor: You went into cardiac arrest after being in a coma.

Oliver: Huh?

Doctor: Don't you remember?

Oliver: I'm really sorry, but I don't...

Doctor: What's the last thing you remember?

Oliver: *Pauses for a moment* I, uh... I was in English class. And I was thinking about the YABC rehearsal in a couple of days.

Doctor: Do you remember the date?

Oliver: 8th of January, last time I checked.

Doctor: *Whispers something to the doctor* I don't know how to tell you this... but you have Lacunar amnesia and have forgotten several months of your life as far as we know.

Oliver: *His eyes widen* WHAT?! HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!

Doctor: You were raped and you became comatose.

Oliver: *Looks terrified* Okay Andrew, come out and say this is a joke! A really, really bad joke...

Doctor: This isn't a joke Oliver.

Oliver: *Hyperventilating* It has to be! There's no way that this could've happened! It can be real, it just can't!

Doctor: I-I'm sorry, but this is real.

*There is a knock on the door*

Oliver: *Looks almost in tears* Who is it?

Doctor: Come in.

*The door opens, it's Jayden.*

Oliver: Hi...?

Jayden: *Sees Oliver* O-Oliver!

Oliver: *Looks taken aback and quite freaked* W-Who are you?

Jayden: *Slightly taken aback* Oliver, it's me. Jayden, your boyfriend... Don't you remember me?

Oliver: I-I'm sorry but I don't know who you are.

Jayden: *Starts moving closer to Oliver, pain flashes in his eyes* O-Oliver-

Oliver: *Looks panicked and afraid* Listen, I have no idea who you are, and I don't want to know how you know who I am. But if you take another step I will hit you in the balls with my Australian Animals Encyclopaedia. Are we clear?

Jayden: *Gulps* Crystal.

Nurse: *Looks at Jayden* I think you should leave.

*Jayden exits, sad and terrified at the same time*
