The flames were swallowing the world whole, and people were screaming and running for their lives. Children were left by themselves, forsaken by their parents. A little girl and her older sister were one of these children that were forgotten. The younger sister was crying, looking left and right, while the older sister tried to keep her calm.
"Blaire, it's okay, don't cry. Everything's going to be fine", the older one spoke gently, wiping tears off of her sister's face. "We're going to run, okay? Like a game of chase! I'll be it. Don't look back when you're running, though, it'll slow you down".
At this, Blaire perked up, and began to get excited. "Hey, Olympia, which way should I go?"
"Where there's no fire", Olympia said.
Blaire nodded, and started running. The path ahead of her was unhindered by fire, and it was leading her to a wooded area.
"I'm coming, Blaire!" Olympia yelled as she chased her sister.
Blaire ran as fast as she could. "Almost there", she kept telling herself. She was about five yards to the woods, but something stopped her. A firm hand gripped Blaire's left arm, and yanked her back.
"OW! Olym--"
A hand was clamped over her mouth and was kept there.
"Blaire!"
Blaire turned her head only to see Olympia struggling to get away from a man that kept trying to tie her hands behind her back. Blaire's eyes widened as she saw the man pull out a knife and hold it at Olympia's throat. Olympia stopped pulling and jerking away. She stayed still.
"We've got 'em!" yelled the man that held Blaire. "Should we kill them?"
"We can't kill them. They're one of those people"
"So are the rest of the children, right?"
The man that held Olympia nodded. What did all of this mean?
Blaire felt the grip of his hand loosen, and she bit into it with all the strength in her jaw. He screamed out in pain. She heard another man bellow in pain, and it was the one holding Olympia. He fell to his knees and winced. Blaire couldn't help but laugh at the sight. Unfortunately, her laughing was cut short when something metal and big crashed onto her head. She fell to the ground, and heard one last word before she blacked out: "Blaire!!"

"Sixteen... Pst! Sixteen, wake up".
Sixteen felt something gently shaking her shoulder, and knew that that something could be none other than her sister, Nineteen. Her eyelids fluttered open, and she saw Nineteen sitting on the edge of the bed putting on her shoes. Nineteen was dressed in a pair skinny jeans and a white V-neck shirt with a black tank top underneath. Her long, brown curly hair was pulled back into a ponytail as usual.
"Are we relocating to somewhere else?" Sixteen asked groggily as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. She sat up, and saw a set of folded clothes and shoes with an empty book bag on the side.
"Yeah, we're running out of supplies. Go get dressed, I'll pack the rest of the stuff that we have in my book bag. Any leftovers you find, you give it to me, okay?" Nineteen got up from the bed, grabbed her book bag that lay on the floor, and walked out. She shut the door behind her as she left the room. Sixteen got out of bed with a groan and a yawn. She grabbed her clothes and headed to the bathroom. She brushed her teeth, brushed her hair, and put on her new clothing. It was a pair of jeans that slightly flared at the bottom, and a white sleeve shirt that reached to the palms of her hand. Satisfied with her clothes, she left the bathroom to get her shoes and her book bag.
