All Nineteen could do was just stare at the man as he made his way over to the large C shaped desk in the front of the vast room.
The way he smiled, his yellow eyes filled with an unhealthy happiness about the whole entire group of captured people being there.
Nineteen had taken notice of the young couple that stood a small distance behind her. Once she took a glance at the girl's swollen stomach, she sucked in a breath. She was pregnant with a little baby inside of her, and she was captured by this cruel, sick idiot. The boy standing with her stood tall and strong, looking like he'd knock out anyone who touched her and his child. They both looked at Nineteen and gave her small, worried smiles.
Nineteen turned her head back around to face he Warden, who still happened to be smiling and looking at them with his fingers locked together.
"All thoroughly checked, yes?" His eyes lingered on the group a second more before turning towards his daughter.
"Yes," she answered, though when she did her eyes landed on the Infected.
Callisto quickly looked back at her father, "Should they start tour today, or tomorrow?"
The Warden's eyes twinkled as he responded, "We'll start tomorrow. They must be tired after all the Infected put them through."
+++++
They had been split up, every single one of them, except for the couple with the child. They had their own room that was basically like an apartment.
Sixteen looked around, and saw nothing but technology and the color white everywhere. Two workers were walking Sixteen to her room, which was to be on the second floor of this building. Nineteen was taken to the fourth floor, and the Infected to the fifth. Or, at least that's how Sixteen thought it to be.
The two workers had already taken Sixteen to the medic to inspect her leg, and they patched it up in less than twenty minutes. It was amazing, yet scary what they did to her wound in order to make her dead, fallen flesh reattach to her leg, as well as the muscle that was torn, too. The skin that was torn renewed and was as soft as baby skin. Sixteen began to wonder what this place really was besides what they called it.
It was nothing like a Prison. People were usually cruel towards the people that were trapped inside. These people may have chased them and captured them, but when they came here, they weren't treated bad anymore. After all, they were being given a room and shelter from outside.
Sixteen went over all the good things that were here that she had seen so far, but her gut was tossing and turning with uncertainty and anxiety. It may have seemed to be amazing, but every place had its secrets, and she doubted that this one didn't have some.
"Here is your room," one of the workers said to her while the other handed her a key.
"If you ever need anything, there will be a button right next to your front door. It will alert us if you are in need of asissantce," the other informed.
Sixteen nodded slowly as she carefully took hold of the key.
After that, they both left her standing in front of the door to her room. Sixteen used her key, opened the door, and pushed it open with her hand, but didn't walk inside.
She was beginning to feel claustrophobic and anxious, her twisting stomach tying itself into a knot. If she stepped inside, she would probably be trapped forever in there, not coming out.
Slowly and reluctantly, she stepped forward, and she was soon met with her reflection on the wall next to her, which was a mirror. She caught a glimpse of her brown hair, all knotted and matted down with dirt and drops of blood, her clothes filthy with the same stuff that was in her hair.
Sixteen took her eyes off of the mirror and began to walk forward a little more into the apartment-like cell she was in.
Everything was as white as it was out there, not even a small drop of color in sight. It was driving her insane.
She walked over to a chair positioned at a dinner table, and sat there, just looking closely at everything, and for some odd reason it felt like she was taking in all that was around her.
Then a sharp pain went through her head, making Sixteen bring her hands up to cover her ears, and she sucked in a breath.
Then, it was gone.
Sixteen's head was acting up ever since she'd made the wall of dirt and rocks explode.
Being stuck in this room was driving her crazy by the second, and she knew that she had to find Nineteen just to talk to her about everything. She was so confused and scared that all she wanted was just to talk to her sister.
+++++++
Nineteen couldn't believe how nice the room was when she walked in. The room itself was huge and filled with luxurious furniture.
"It'd be even more nice if it wasn't all white," she muttered to herself.
Nineteen thought about her sister and the Infected, and wondered how their rooms were and how they were feeling about everything. But she mostly thought about Callisto, whose eyes kept crawling back to the Infected, like she knew there was something off about him.
If anyone found out about the Infected, then all three of them would most likely be killed, and the thought of that happening made Nineteen's heart quicken in pace.
But there was that what if...
They could get away with it if the boy knew how to control himself, which he seemed to know how to do most of the time. And believing that he wasn't an Infected would also pass because everyone knew how the real ones were: blood thirsty.
Nineteen's mind soon wandered off to Sixteen, and she wondered how she was doing, what her room was like. It was most likely like hers, but that didn't matter.
What Nineteen got from the Prison was that it was a huge refuge of a sort, or at least that's what it appeared to be. Nineteen didn't trust this place, however, and it bothered her how badly the Warden's men wanted the Unknown population, which Nineteen now knew that she and her sister were apart of.
Then a question formed inside of Nineteen's mind.
If there were more of them out there, then how many were in here?
