Arabella's P.O.V.

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP.

I slap my hand on my alarm clock and grown. First day of school. I wasn't really looking forward to it. I was what you would call a school outcast. I didn't talk to anyone, I was a loner and always had headphones plugged into my ears. I made decent grades, I made it through the day. Only two more year, Arabella. I think to myself as I lay in my bed. My mom would come in at any moment to make sure I was up.

I sat up in my bed, squinting and the bit of sun that was gleaming through my window. I brushed my arm onto the corner of my headboard and instantly winced in pain. Fuck! Arabella be more careful, dumbass. I look at my ghostly white arms, covered in scars and some new, fresh ones. I sigh and get out of bed, walking to the bathroom to get ready for the day. I grabbed my straightener and plugged it into the outlet. Because my hair decided it wanted to be thicker than anything on this planet, I set it to its highest setting and began straightening through my mess of burgundy hair. I put on some heavy black eyeliner and brushed my teeth. I slowly examine myself in the mirror. I sigh and look down at my arms. Shameful. I sigh and walk back to my room.

I I enter my room and start digging through my drawers for something to wear. I finally decided on skin-tight black skinnies, and my Fall Out Boy hoodie. I slip on my vans, which are pretty much falling apart. I sigh again and walk downstairs to my kitchen. "Morning," my mother says coldly, not looking up from her work. "Morning," I mumble. She peeks up from her work and lets out a sigh. "What?" I snap, not realizing it and I instantly cringe. She shoots her head up, her sea green eyes bearing into mine. "Watch your tone, Arabella." I roll my eyes and decide I'm not hungry. Don't eat, you're fat enough already. A little voice in my head says and I sigh, walking out the door not saying anything to my mother.

I put my earphones into my ears and start blasting Asking Alexandria. I slowly let out a deep breath as I start walking to school. Only thing that sucks about Arkansas is it's always a little chilly out here. I cringe a bit at the cold, but soon relax and slowly make my way towards school. I'd been walking about 5 minutes and I hear a car horn beeping down the street and I turn around, instantly regretting it. "Awh, poor Arabella is walking to school. Clothes make you look fat, sweetie. I heard Jenny Craig can help with that." Taylor screams as her and her "crew" walk by. Taylor Heavens, biggest bitch on the planet. Don't let her last name fool you. We used to be really good friends, until we reached seventh grade and she became "popular" and deemed me as a loser. Ever since then, she's been making my life a living hell. I roll my eyes and choke back tears, hoping no one is around. I put my head down and make my way towards school. I finally find myself on the campus. Brookland High School. Here's to another year of pure hell. I think and grunt to myself and quickly make my way to my first class.

Alex's P.O.V.

I silently sit at the kitchen table, waiting for Jack to come and pick me up. Me, Jack, Rian and Zack have finally saved up enough money to move out of the shitty little town we were in and start over. We had a band going, but no name yet. It was nothing serious, just a bunch of teenagers fucking around with some instruments, but secretly, we all hoped we had what it took to make it. Jack was out, getting coffee for everyone. Zack and Rian finally joined me in the kitchen.

"You guys take longer than girls do, I swear." I say with a smirk.

"Do not, just gotta look perfect for the first day of new school." Zack says, eyes narrowing in at me.

I just laugh and Rian rolls his eyes. "Where's Jack?"

"Getting coffee for everyone." I reply, answering his question.

We sit there, tired, and in a comfortable silence. That's probably what I loved most about these guys. Sitting in silence never was awkward for us, it was almost like we could read each other's minds. Of course, Zack and Rian were closer and it was me and Jack. But all in all, we all were like family. Finally there's a beeping in the driveway, "LET'S GO FUCKERS!" I hear Jack screaming and repeatedly beeping horn. Me and Rian laugh and Zack runs out the door. "Jesus Christ, Jack, you're going to make our neighbors hate us already and we just got here." Zack whines. "Suck it." Jack replies, smiling. I crack a grin and Zack rolls his eyes.

We finally pull into the parking lot of Brookland High and I sigh. Everyone is dressed in designer clothes and has perfect hair. Then there's us, in skinnies and v-necks. I shake my head, realizing maybe this school wasn't the best choice for us. Jack pats my shoulder, knowing what I'm thinking and gives me a reassuring grin. I let a small smile back and get out of the car. "See you dickwads later, don't wanna be late the first day." Zack says, making his leave. "Ditto," Rian agrees. Jack sticks out his tongue and they walk away together. "Don't look so down man, this is a new start. We'll be fine." Jack says, trying to stay positive, but you could see in his eyes that he wasn't really believing what he saying. I shrug my shoulders and we start walking in together. Please, one good thing needs to come out of this. I think to myself, and wrap my arm Jack's shoulder. He smiles and we walk in the front doors.
