Alex's P.O.V.

When she said she wasn't hungry, I knew we were dealing with more than someone who just mutilates herself. I look at her with concern, but she just stares blankly at the wall. I sigh and sit down, pouring some cereal into a bowl. "Where's Rian and Zack?" Arabella asks, quietly and innocently. "School." Jack replies. She just nods. "So, tell us about yourself?" I ask, trying to keep from an awkward silence. She just stares at me, and realizing I was not getting anything out of her I give up and just eat my food. "We saw a note that your mom wrote you, I told you I would have waited." Jack says between chomps of food. Arabella instantly tears up and puts her head down.

"Hey, don't worry," I say "We've already decided you can stay with us. Zack went back and got all your things." She smiles, gratefully. I thought I was getting away with this one without a fight. She's to weak to fight, Alex. For god sakes she just tried to kill herself last night! She's exhausted! I shake my head a bit, clearing the voices. She gives me a weird look, as if she knows what I am trying to do.

"Th-thank you," she stutters "but I don't want to be a burden. I'll find somewhere else." Damn. She's a stubborn one, definitely. "Nope, you're staying here. No arguments, if's and's or but's." I hear Rian's cheerful voice say. I didn't even notice that him and Zack had come home. Arabella looks down at her hands, defeated and I have to smile. "What smells like there's a fire?" Zack asks, walking in the kitchen looking exhausted. I look down and Jack and Arabella start laughing. I roll my eyes and put my bowl in the sink.

Arabella's P.O.V.

"What smells like there's a fire?" Says a very tired looking Zack, walking into the kitchen. Me and Jack immediately start cracking up and Alex rolls his eyes and puts his dishes into the sink. "Alex thought he could cook eggs, but started a fire instead." I explain, now done laughing. Everyone looks kind of shocked to hear me speak. Then Rian and Zack laugh. "Good one man," Rian says in between laughs.

"Dick."

"It was kind of cute," I say and Alex immediately directs his attention on me. I feel the blood rush to my face and I try to cover it. He smiles, kindly, but I can't read what his eyes are saying. I actually had a chance to give Alex a full look over. I mean shit, he was standing right in front of me. His brown hair was a little curly, messy and sticking up in some parts. He was a little scruffy and his chocolate-brown eyes is what got me. They were amazing. I hadn't noticed how long I was staring until I caught him eyeing me, questioningly. I immediately look down, blushing. He immediately smiles, and walks out of the kitchen, upstairs.

Ryan, Zack and Jack start talking about something to do with music. They talked about how they needed to fit in practice sometimes today and they decided around six. "You guys have a band?" I ask, curious. They all smile, proudly. "We do. We don't have a name yet, though." Zack answers. "Can I watch you guys practice?" I ask, hesitantly. Jack laughs and ruffles my already messed up hair, "Of course you can kiddo! You're part of the family now, anyways." I smile, liking that I heard that.

Maybe I do belong somewhere. And I think I've finally found where.
