?¿?'s POV
"There's a girl on the road! Stop the car!" I yelled to the driver. We skidded to a stop and I leaped out of the car. Her arm and leg were gone, almost as if torn off. What's more, she had.. a wing. A small stump accompanied it. She was bleeding out of her stomach and all of her amputated limbs. A glimmer of light in her good hand caught my eye. I knelt beside her and my driver made a call. I moved her fingers. "She's a state alchemist! She's going to bleed to death!" I picked her up and put her in the back seat of the car. "We need to get to the hospital, now!" I yelled to my driver. "But sir! What about your meeting?" I shook my head. "This girl's life matters more than that meeting. We can reschedule. Now, drive!" He nodded and we got back into the car.

Edward's POV
The phone rang. I looked away from the map and stared at ir. Al walked up to it. "I've got it. You focus on finding her." He picked up the phone. "Hello, Elric Residence? Yeah, he's here. I'll put him on." He put his hand over the receiver. "It's for you." I grabbed the phone and sighed. "Edward Elric, the Fullmetal alchemist." Mustang's voice responded in a joyful tone. "They've found her. She's in a small town near Resembool, but it doesn't have the right medical equipment to treat her. They're bringing her to Central as soon as she finishes stabilizing." I had a similar king feeling. "How bad is she? If she needs transferred to Central and hasn't stablized.." Mustang reassured me. "She is missing her left arm, left leg, left wing, and there is something wrong with her eye. Other than that, she has a deep cut in her stomach, a split lip, and her pinky is missing. The stab wound on her stomach wasn't caused by Alchemy, though. Her hand and stomach both had rope burns. She was discovered on the road in front of a house. We're on the scene, and we're about to go to investigate. I just wanted to update you." I thanked him and hug up. I took a deep breath and collapsed onto the couch. I was exhausted and my emotions were worn ragged. "They've found her. She's seriously injured, though. We need to go to Central to see her."

Ari / Fury's POV
I blinked a few times. A bright light shone in my eyes and my head ached. I moved my arm to cover my eyes. Something people huddled over me. I rubbed my eye and sat up, wincing. "She's awake!" Someone yelled. I wanted to hush them, but I couldn't speak. I coughed up little dribbles of blood. Someone out a pillow under my neck. "She's stabilizing. Isn't it amazing?" Mustang was sitting in the corner. Finally managing to speak, however hoarse as it was, I spoke in a hushed voice. "Where's Ed?" Mustang laughed. "The first thing you say after narrowly escaping death and losing half of your body is 'Where's Ed?' Laughable, really." I painfully shrugged. "I'm worried. Is he alright?" Mustang nodded. I looked down at my arm. "What was the price? Maybe it was our seperation..?" Mustang closed his eyes. "He didn't pay it, either. It might have been your pinky." I laughed. "Bringing someone back from the gate isn't the equivalent of losing a finger. I bet that's part of the price, but the only other options for a price seem to be our seperation or another part of my soul is gone." He nodded. "We're moving you to Central. Fullmetal will meet us there. You should rest." I nodded and leaned my head back, closing my eyes. I peeked open my new left eye when Mustang asked the dreaded quedtion: "Why do you have wings?" I shrugged. "I am half chimera. I'll explain later." He questioned that. "What's wrong with your eye? Last time I saw you, it was gone completely." I touched it with my right hand. "Truth gave it back to me. It's not the same as my old one, but it works." He nodded. I drifted off to sleep soon after.

My eyes fluttered open. The room was different, so I made the quick guess that I was in Central. The room was emoty, but the door was ooen. My heart leaped when I heard three familiar voices. Ed's golden hair peeked out of the threshold. His face was full of shock. He ran up to me, enveloping me in a tight hug. I wrapped my arm around him. He was sobbing, and Al joined in on the hug. Winry shook my hand after we all let go. "You guys look better." I remarked. Al grinned. "It's been six and a half months since I came back. I'm finally able to walk on my own, so that's good. How are you feeling?" I shrugged, then winced. "I've been better. I have no regrets, though. Winry, when you're up to it, can you make me some automail? I'll need it to continue my journey." She nodded and smiled. "if it weren't for you, I'd be with the homunculi, Ed would be dead, and Al would be stuck in the gate. Thank you." I laughed. "I didn't actually save you, though. Ed did that. And I was the one who got captured, which caused Ed to get impaled. Al would have already crossed over if the dark hands hadn't taken me." Ed laughed. "We put ourselves in each of those positions. Al was in the gate in the first place because of our mistakes, Winry was with the homunculi because we were messing with them, and I chose to come rescue you." I nodded and looked down. Al spoke up. "What are you going to do now? I'd be guessing you'll try to get your body back." I nodded. "I'm going to get my body back first. Then, I'm going to find my father. He was a chimera and I've seen him before." Ed smiled.
"We're going to help you!"
