Al was sitting near me. I smiled when I saw his face, then rubbed the back of my neck. "What's wrong?" He asked. I winced. "Someone hit me over the head with a shovel in the middle of a snowstorm. Presumably Envy or Gluttony. Anyway, it hurts pretty bad." He nodded. "Well, I hope it gets better." I gave him a sad smile which he returned. A flash of white light told me I was waking up. I closed my eyes and blinked a few times. I was lying in a cot in a small room. I sat up way too fast and got dizzy. I was still light headed, so it took me a moment to refocus my eyes. I was in a jail cell. My hands were in block cuffs behind me. A guard was standing alert at the door. "Uhm, sir? Where am I?" The guard looked at me and then looked down a hallway. "She's awake!" He yelled. I winced at the loud noise. He turned back to me. "Sorry. You're in Fort Briggs, the northern wall." I stood up and jumped over my cuffs. "Can you let me out, sir?" I asked and the guard declined. "The General deals with trespassers." I sighed and closed my eyes. Heavy footsteps comped down the hallway. A large man with a Mohawk and braid accompanied a young woman with blond hair and big lips. "What were you doing on Briggs soil, Drachman spy?" I closed my eyes again. "So you're the famous northern wall? I didn't know I was heading towards the compound. I was following some hostiles that I was ordered to get intel on. They captured and tortured me, once." The woman smirked. "Why should I believe a youngster like you?" I shrugged and transmuted the handcuffs into wooden blocks which I burned. I pulled out my silver watch. It was my turn to smirk. "Can I come out now and continue my mission?" General Armstrong unlocked the door. An explosion rocked the building. "Damn. They're already here. You guys need to get people out of the way, now. Those down there are homunculi. They can't die like a normal person and are superhumans. I can postpone their reign of terror, but you need to ready a lot of explosives and gunpowder. I've dealt with these guys before. Their greatest weakness I've discovered is excessive fire, which happens to be my specialty." Armstrong nodded and grunted. "If we get a good fight, I'm fine with that."

I gingerly pulled back my curly hair. The preparations for the homunculi attack were nearly complete. "We don't know who will be with them. It is most likely Greed, Lust, Gluttony, and Envy. I was following Greed and Lust when I got dragged here. Just a warning: Greed can shield himself with a carbon reinforcement ability, Lust can extend her fingers into blades, Envy can shapeshift, and Gluttony can eat anything, including metal, whole." We got ready and another explosion blew a hole in the wall. Snow and wind whipped around inside. I light myself on fire and let the fire spread down in a line to the hole. I heard screams from inside and the cannons fired. When the smoke cleared, they were all regenerating. Lust, Envy, and Gluttony were standing by the hole while Greed came towards me. "You can't burn me." I laughed. "You're forgetting that I could fight before I became the human torch." The familiar grey stone texture crawled up his arms. He lunged for me, but I grabbed his arm and flipped him. He rolled backwards and jumped back up. "Hurry this up, Greed. We have places to be." He smiked. "I'll be right there. Who knew, after teaching this kid how to fight that I'd have to test her skills." I laughed. "Too bad I can't remember you. Oh, an D the fact that you apparently were a horrible teacher. Ed taught me a lot, but I taught myself for most of it." He grimanced. "Don't blame your lack of skills on me, kid! You need to start eating those red rocks. They're great." I dodged his fists and feinted a few times. "Not my style. I'm stronger than you even without your energy bar of human souls." He raised an eyebrow and I narrowly dodged a punch to the face. "I'm surprised you knew that." I smirked. "I know more that you think. Like this, for example." I deconstructed the carbon shield. He screamed out in pain as the shield on his arm shatterwd, revealing muscles. I smirjed, with renewed energy. I lit my hand on fire, grabbed his wrist, and flipped him onto the ground. I deconstructed the rest of his shield and lit him on fire. He screamed, shattering my heart before I remembered what he and the homunculi had done. The flames grew hotter and he started to disintegrate. "Why.." He whispered hoarsely. Envy laughed and walked up to me, kneeling me in the stomach hard. Blood dripped out of my mouth and I crumpled.
