The next day, James and Christina ate together like they always did. Today was Friday, so all of the students were a little bit wilder than usual since the weekend was coming into high gear. There, Christina brought him a turkey burger with some apple slices and ice cold water. She also brought herself the same thing. James gave the food a vile look and took a bite of the turkey burger, chewing it in a disgusting form.

"It...............doesn't have any flavor?" James groaned as he chewed on the burger.

"It's not supposed to. It's a turkey avocado burger that my mother makes me all of the time." Christina laughed. "It's lightly seasoned with a few other toppings on it. It's really healthy for you."

"Mhm." James groaned as he gulped his food down and set his burger onto a napkin. "I'm gonna eat the apples instead."

Whille they ate their food, Christina heard Abby's laughter coming nearby. She already know that it was going to be a commotion, which slightly annoyed her. Then when she set eyes on the person she was walking with, it grabbed her attention.

He was a dark skinned guy with a smooth cut, slim body, and pearly white teeth. The boy was a solid 5'9. Him and Abby were close.

"Ahahahahah!" Abby laughed, giggling as she held the boy by her waist from a joke that they made before arriving over there. "And this is my friend Christina. She's going to be at my slumber party, too!"

"Hello Christina." The dark skinned boy smiled, keeping her attention.

"H-hey." Christina said in a nerous tone, glancing back up at him.

The dark skinned boy was the apple of her eye. He was cute, so this boy was labeled as her first crush.

"Christina, this is Kevin, but we just call him Kev." Abby smiled. "He's going to be at our party, so you're definitely going to be there, right?"

"Yes." Christina nodded in a quick form. "Most definitely."

Christina looked at James, watching as he sat there like the 4th wheel. He was just listening to their conversation, not really paying attention to what they were saying since he was never involved.

"So yeah. We'll see you there!" Abby smiled as she and the boy walked off. "Bye Chrissy!"

"Bye." Christina waved as they walked back into the lunchroom.

Christina kept her eyes on the dark skinned boy, then turned back to James.

"He was cute!" Christina whispered to James.

"Yeah. He was so so." James shrugged. "Not really all that to me."

James was boiling inside. He liked Christina and she knew it, but he felt that he wasn't thin enough to win her over.

He was actually starting to blame his weight for everything tragic that went on in his life.

And like another day of school for Christina, it was another day of trial for Jayla and Dr. August. Usually, they walked in side by side, ready to go and take the court by storm. But this time, she was nervous. In fact, she didn't want to do it. Jayla stepped into the secluded area of the courtroom, standing there nervously as Dr. August followed her there.

"Jayla, what's wrong?" Dr. August asked as he walked next to her. "They're about to start court in the next few minutes!"

"I don't want to do it anymore." Jayla said in a low tone, glancing down at the ground. "I'm done."

"Why, Jayla?"

"Because I can't sit up there knowing that I can't get mad, curse, or beat the fuck out of that damn defense attorney who's accusing me of lying!" Jayla barked. "They tore my speech apart yesterday and I couldn't do anything but sit up there and look cute! I just don't wanna do it anymore."
