Chapter 9
"I am guessing that your power is to create objects or human beings, or transport, with your thinking and strong emotions," said Mr.Owens. "Bit one cannot be rash. It might be something greater, or less."
"So, Mr.Owens, Kirk is strong enough to erase away from everyone's minds my power? Why is it that I am the only one who has the power? Why don't you have it? You are, we'll, my brother."
"Please call me Art. Yes, Kirk is not a mere chimera. He is so formidable, but nobody has seen him yet, at least the presently alive people. But who told you that you are the only one with that power?"
"Because if there is another person, why would you choose me to save Senalia?" I asked, and Art smiled.
"Ah, but what about your counterpart?"
As I took it in, realization dawned upon me slowly. "Oh. But he would be stronger than me by the time I learn my powers."
"Perhaps. His name is Enrick, and he is the son of Kirk. Chimeras can live forever too unless killed, and the royalties have both human and chimera forms, remember? Enrick is three years older than you are, and you were to wed him five thousand years ago."
"Wed?! You mean marry?" I spat incredulously. "A chimera?"
"Hmm, I admit that he is quite handsome, so no worries, princess," said Art, so seriously that I didn't know it to be a joke at first.
"Prince," sighed Anna, rolling his eyes.
Oh for Senalia's sake!
