I barely managed to write this coz I was extremely busy getting ready for exams and all. I am terribly sorry to say that I cannot promise to be consistent. Love u all! Stay happy! :)
Chapter 14
Terrence and Anna have mentioned beforehand that Senalians lived with the nature, and were thus gifted with eternity life, stopping aging on facade at the age of seventeen. I had thought it just a little exaggerated and overestimated, but in fact, They had under-judged it. The place was purely beautiful, trees of exotic species and myriad collies lined paths, which were all just grass and flowers of vibrant colors.
The people rushed forward en masse, and greeted me with tears of gaiety brimming in their eyes, talking in a language I presumed to be Senalian. U vageult understood scraps of the words, but I just knew that they were overwhelming with emotions ambivalent and strong.
"They express how they are seraphic to have their princess back, and how relieved they have a hero now to have hope," translated Magnus quickly, noticing the flummoxed expression on my face- I did not know how to respond. "they have suffered long."
He spoke something in Senalian to the people, and they all started to speak in English, clumsy and mixed with Senalian but enough to grasp the main ideas of their speech.
"We grohamg jartaä are so happy you are back and ßando," cried out a girl- or maybe a woman- I never knew; they all looked like teenagers with hairs dyed white.
"Beéh!" a male suddenly cried out, pointing his finger at Magnus, a look of ire and disgust written all over his countenance. "Magnus! The traitor, don't you all remember how he is responsible? Jalá!"
All started to flush darkly in anger, picking up stones from the ground, Magnus clenching his jaw, a look of defeat and shame revealed.
"Stop! Not now," yelled Terrence. "In the name of the royal court Physician Terrence, I
command you all to stop this hubbub."
Just as protests sprang forth from mouths and blood sprinted to the cheeks, a low, snarling growl silenced everyone in a millisecond. Behind us stood the ugliest, most horribly familiar creature on the hill, trampling on the grass blades wet with dew.
With a snake head from the torso swishing in the air, a lion's head, and a goat head growing at the back, stood the creature of Senalia, a chimera, a dark red flame dancing out from the large jaws of the lion's and the goat's head, memories painfully triggered in me.
"I'll protect the princess," Magnus yelled. "Terrence and Anna protect the people."
Screams erupted, almost inhumane as the chimera pounced, and ice replaced the blood in my veins, as I backed away, feeling as useless as I could ever be.
Magnus ran straight towards the chimera, his dagger extended to an acute dark red blood blade, yelling. His blade only managed to slice a small bit of the chimera, green liquid emitting- I assumed it to be blood.
But as I watched useless, I saw the very skin of the chimera cut open become flawless again. Yep. That was right. It could heal itself. And extremely conveniently fast.
Oh man.
