Chapter 8

"Excuse me, ma'am," said Magnus to a passing air stewardess. "Have you seen a British couple and a very tall blond man?"

She smiled, her glossy red lips curling into a dazzling smile, nodding.

"Please follow me. They were going there."

As she walked taking strides elegantly, Magnus pushed his damp hair out of his eyes, his jaw tense, face worriedly pale, as he pulled out a curved dagger, the blade blood red. Before I could react, he plunged it deep into the lady, who screamed inhumanly, every pair of eyes turning to us.

The lady was no longer a lady. The skin was peeling off, blackening, the body large bing swiftly- in a chimera form, lying in a pool of green, the dagger right thru its body. Magnus pressed his hand against a wall, as people stared, taking photos and calling out for help.

"I can sense them. This way."

We turned right, air stewardesses running towards us, alarm on. Magnus pushed open a door at a wall, and the three burst out, weaponed.

"Heck, couldn't breathe," sighed Mr. Owens.

"Ahme beso beso neppe," said Magnus, rushed.

"Laiu," retorted Anna, a look of hauteur spreading across her features, scoffing at Magnus.

"Freeze! Don't move, or I'll shoot."

Several armed men have surrounded us completely, guns at our heads, ready to blow when ready.

"Metales sovor," said Terrence sharply.

"Penso theert laiu," said Magnus gently but firmly, shaking his head.

"Where are you from?" A man questioned, guarded and stony.

"D-don't, please don't kill me. I will tell you," implored Magnus suddenly, unlike him, suddenly a coward, pleadingly, deliberately cramming Senalian accent into his English words- normally he sounded like a perfect American.

"This girl's father is a terrorist. He is still on the plane. She has killed a man too. She forced me to kill the lady, sir," Magnus said.

His finger was pointed at me.

My heart was almost torn out of my ribcage. What?!

"It's not-"

My eyes shut instinctively, as his cold gun pressed in between my eyes. I had never had even seen a gun, and it was sure something I didn't want to see again or feel that cool metal against my skin.

"I shall further-"

Before he could finish, men in strange clothing appeared out of nowhere, clutching guns. The ones in uniform were in a few moments oppressed by the queer men, and while they held the men in captive, one of the men in queer clothes came up to me.

"Princess, I have a private jet outside awaiting. Please follow me."

We followed him, who opened the door of the plane, wind blowing at our faces, a jet m waiting just outside., all of us got in, and when the doors were closed and the jet sped off, I went to the man.

"Who are you?"

"I am your servant. I will escort you to England."

"You can trust him, ma'am," said Magnus calmly.

Before I could suppress myself, I rose to my feet and struck him hard across the face, his face meeting with my palm with a loud sound. Surprise was evident on his face, as Magnus silenced, his jaw twitching.

"You were trying to kill me. And you tell me I can trust him," I said, unfazed.

"I can explain that," said Mr. Owens. "Magnus helped you. We all forgot your second majestic power, but we knew that it was useful in any situation. So Magnus made you scared, desperate, angry, strong in emotions, that made you use your power. We still do not know fully though."

"So he helped me?" I asked incredulously, as Magnus pushed his hair back and talked to the pilot.

"Yes. But," whispered Anna, "do not thank him, miss. You don't ever thank a lowly servant like him."

That made me all ashamed, embarrassed, wicked. I went up to Magnus, who only smiled at me like nothing had happened. "Yes miss, do you need help?"

His face I had cuffed was a little red, but he didn't seem angry the slightest.

"I'm so sorry, Magnus. I didn't mean to- and thank you-"

"Not at all, miss. Just a misunderstanding. I don't mind."

But when he turned around and smiled, I couldn't help but to notice how sad his eyes looked.
