I rushed over to let Gold in, laughing when his pirate cape got stuck in the window frame.

"Did you learn nothing from The Incredibles?" Hunter sassed.

The Claw glanced at me, eyes shining, and together, in our best Edna Mode voices, we shouted, "NO CAPES!"

Gold just pouted, "but it's a pirate cape!"

"In that case, you're forgiven," Hunter gave in and dragged Gold by the hand to the living room where the super handed my cousin a plastic sword and the two had an epic battle, Hunter squealing in delight the whole time. I swear, my cousin was twelve going on two...

Meanwhile I helped my mom clean up the eggs before following everyone out into the living room to where Gold was pouting over his snapped plastic sword. Meanwhile, Hunter's sword was prodding Gold in the chest and Hunter was taunting, "I win! Now you have to walk the plank!"

"I went all over town looking for that sword," Gold grumbled. "The dollar store used to sell these all the time when I was a kid."

The Claw let out a musical laugh before picking up Gold's broken sword and examining it. The plastic was completely splintered and not even duct tape would fix it. Huh. Apparently Hunter fought dirty. I filed that away for future usage. Then, my best friend did something I'd never forget. She pointed a finger at Gold, and like I'd seen so many times before, a claw began to grow from her finger. Except it didn't stop.

She smirked as it kept protruding, growing to about a foot and a half before she snapped it off and handed it to Gold. He looked thoroughly disgusted, but with his eye twitching, he grimaced and took it anyway. Hunter, sensing Claw's claw would be a little sturdier than a plastic sword, threw up his hands and shouted, "I surrender! Abandon ship!" Before proceeding to jump off the couch and do a dive bomb to my feet. I laughed and helped him up.

"Feel better?"

"Much," he nodded.

Aunt Teresa materialised then, saying she and Hunter wouldn't be staying for lunch and that it was time to go home. She seemed a little shocked at the sight of two supers in the living room but shook it off, laughing. After all, she knew I had a habit of hanging out with them.

"Until next time, you scallywag," Gold bowed to Hunter.

"Your pirate talk needs some serious work," I laughed.

"Like you could do better," the hero rolled his eyes.

"I could, actually."

"Me too," the Claw pitched in.

"Aye," added Carter.

"Shiver me timbers," and that was my brother... I rolled my eyes at all of them before getting ready to walk Aunt Teresa and Hunter out. My mom rushed out of the kitchen to say goodbye, they left, and then it was just Carter, Terry, two supers, and myself. Mom gave us all a pointed look, which I decoded to mean you guys have some stuff to talk about before disappearing to finish trying to make whatever she had been trying to make (minus the eggs since I refused to go out again).
