Walking along the abandoned snow-covered road, you found yourself lost. Again.

'Must be somewhere in the Northern states of the USA...' you thought to yourself, sighing, your breath fogging up the air surrounding your head. 'No... must be Canada.' You shivered; wherever you were, it was cold. The frigid wind whipped around your being, making you shiver to your core.
Every now and then, a truck would pass by, and no matter how hard you tried to get their attention, they would just speed along as if you weren't even there.

'What I wouldn't give to be back home with my sisters.' You remembered your decent life prior to your most recent fight with your oldest sister.
Before you could become lost in assessing your life, something snapped you out of your daze. A blurry figure appeared just up ahead through the snowstorm, and as it approached, the silhouette became more defined.
It was a lone person, which seemed to be...

'No,' you thought, shaking your head, 'I must be hallucinating.' The figure appeared to be hovering above the ground. You hadn't had food or water in what felt like days, remembering the twisting hunger pains in your side; you couldnt tell, because the sun has been under constant cloud cover. 'Yeah... I'm probably just hallucinating.'

You decided to ignore the image your mind somehow conjoured up, minding your footing carefully along the icy road, but in the back of your mind, your curiosity was sparked. Your eyes threw frequent glances at the nearing figure.

Once the figure moved out of the blur of snow, you could tell that it was a boy, about your age and height, with black hair - which had three white stripes on one side - and bright yellow eyes. And just as you had observed earlier, he was flying, but now you could tell that it was a skateboard that he stood on that was flying. 'This is definitely too odd of a character to be real,' you thought, squinting at his odd traits. That was just about all you could see, though, his image was blurred out some by the fluttering snowflakes.

He seemed to notice your presence, looking your way with his golden eyes, which looked like two small flames flickering in the midst of the blizzard. He started to move closer to you.
You tugged your hat down further and jammed your hands in your leather coat, which used to be your fathers, so it was a bit large on you, hanging just above the torn jeans that exposed your knees. Your pace quickened as you attempted to escape this situation.
"Excuse me, miss," he started in a clear, mannerly voice. You cringed and slowly turned to face the stranger, who was real after all, and not just a figment of your imagination. Now that you could see his face clearly, you could tell that he looked more friendly; he grinned at you. "You look lost..."
"You have no idea," you replied, grinning back.

"Would you like a ride?" He offered.
'What the heck,' you thought, mentally shrugging your shoulders. This was the first person who tried to help you in the past 100 miles, and it'd probably be another 100 to the nearest town, so why not take the chance?

"Where would you like to go?" He asked as he helped you onto the skateboard.

You sighed. "Nowhere in particular, I guess." Your face dropped. "I don't really have a home..."

"Oh, I'm sorry," he muttered, his voice pitying. "Would you like one?" he asked, grinning at you.

Your eyes widened. "U-uh..." You stuttered as you stumbled off the enchanted skateboard and backed up a few paces; you were unable to tell if he was just being overly friendly or if he was a serious creep.

"Wait!" he yelled, reaching a hand towards you.

You slipped on a slick ice patch, gasping as you fell. You shut your eyes and tensed for impact, but you couldn't find the ground; it was too late, you already began to fall off the ledge you failed to notice in the blizzard. Your eyes flung open as you processed slowly in your head what just happened. You saw the bare rock on the face of the cliff speeding by as you fell towards the tops of the snow-covered pines beneath you.

The last thing you felt was the frigid wind whipping your brown hair into your eyes and your body colliding with pine needles and dry branches that snapped under your weight, then finally, you struck the cold, hard rocks under the canopy of trees. Everything went numb, and the ends of every nerve in your body began to tingle as you lost consciousness.
