3rd Person's POV
"You're quite the popular fellow, Mr. Daley. Why don't you just skedaddle?"
"I can't skedaddle. My friends are being held down there. I got to go get them. I got to find another way down." Larry stopped at a painting because it was moving. "This is new." Then the people in the painting started to back away and scream. "Hey, it's all right. I don't want to hurt you."
"I don't think it's you they're afraid of, Mr. Daley." Amelia said to him. He turned around and saw the Egyptian army with their spears coming towards him. Larry went to another painting, American Gothic, and traded the tablet for his pitchfork.
"Trade you. Thanks. Back off! Just back off! I will fork you! How about you, huh?" Amelia took the pitchfork from him
"Never send a boy to do a woman's job. I spent two weeks spear-hunting with a tribe in Micronesia." She threw it and one of the men caught it. The Micronesians had much slower reflexes." Larry took the tablet back and pulled Amelia and Katalina into a different painting.
"Come on!"
"It's over! It's over! It's all over!" People were yelling all over the place.
"Well, this is one humdinger of a hootenanny." Amelia said.
"Excuse me. Sorry. Excuse me." Larry was saying to people he ran into. "Wow, four bars in 1945." He said surprised as his phone started ringing. "Hello?"
"Dad, finally! I've been studying these plans to the Archives. Looks like once you get down the stairwell..."
"Oh, I'm way past the stairwell, Nicky."
"So you found everyone?"
"Sort of."
"What is that flibberty-widget you are talking to?" Amelia asked.
"Larry, where are we? How did we get here?" Katalina asked as well.
"Who's that?" Nicky asked.
"It's Amelia Earhart. And Katalina."
"You found Amelia Earhart and Katalina?"
"I... Hey!" Larry yelled when someone ran into him making him drop his phone.
"Wait a minute! Buddy, what's your hurry? Didn't you hear? The war's over!"
"Sorry. These guys are chasing me." Larry said pointing at them.
"What? What am I looking at, Mardi Gras? What unit are you from?"
"I'm from Brooklyn."
"What? Are you serious? I'm from Flatbush! Hey, fellas! These so-and-sos are trying to rough up my pal here just 'cause he's from Brooklyn!" He yelled to his friends.
"Thank you!"
"You got it! Fight! Hey, mister! You forgot your...What the heck is this thing?"
"Excuse me. Mind if I get in here?" Larry asked tapping the guy who was kissing the woman. And kissing her instead.
"Any time you're done, Mr. Daley."
"Call me!" The lady in the painting yelled as all three jumped out of the picture.
"Thank you for that."
"So you're quite the smooth operator, aren't you, Mr. Daley?"
"Quick!" Larry yelled and they turned the picture around and held it against the wall. "That actually worked."
"What's next?" Amelia and Katalina asked at the same time. Larry looked at Amelia.
"Look, nothing personal, but I'm kind of in the middle of something here that's not really your fight."
"It's because I'm a woman, isn't it?"
"No, it's because I've got this ancient raised-from-the-dead evil Pharaoh guy who's willing to kill me and probably anyone near me to get this tablet so he can rule the world."
"So it is because I'm a woman!"
"Look, I..."
"No, you look, Mr. Daley! If it weren't for me, you'd still be lost in that monochromatic mayhem!"
"Lost in what?"
"Black and white photo, you boob! Now listen, and listen good. I can help you. I want to help you, and not because I like you, which so far I don't, but because I smell adventure, and, damn it, I want in."
"Okay. Don't blame me if something happens to you."
"I should be so lucky." Katalina and Larry were walking side by side.
"How is your company?" She asked him quietly.
"It's doing good. We just made the Glow In The Dark Flashlight."
"Well that's cool." She said lightly.
"So what is your story?" Amelia asked Katalina coming up next to her.
"There was a war in Greece, where I was born, and I ran from it and landed in Crete, it is an island between Greece and Egypt, and then the day after that I used the same boat and went to Egypt. And I fell in love."
"Who did you fall in love with?"
"Kahmunrah's younger brother. He was the ruler of Egypt at the time."
"And what is his name?"
"Ahkmenrah. This is his tablet."
"And you still like him?" She asked Katalina.
"Yes, I love Ahkmenrah."
"And you like Kah.." Katalina cut her off.
"No. He killed his own brother."
"Oh. Well so he would probably kill anyone wouldn't he."
"Definitely. Except me. Because he has feelings for me as well." She said. "I have always known he has."
"And if you're from Greece, you speak Greek I am assuming."
"I know Greek, French, English, and Egyptian."
"Wow, talented. And what exactly is this plan now?"
"I don't have one yet," Larry said and they continued walking around.
