Ahkmenrah's POV

"Hey everyone!" Larry yelled getting everyone to quiet down. "I have an announcement to make." Katalina and looked at each other with worry. As did a few other people. "No, guys, this is a good announcement. No need to worry." Larry said trying to reassure all of us.

"And how do we know that. The last time you had an announcement you were quitting and the museum sent us away," Jedediah said from one end of the lobby.

"Well. Because I'm not leaving and you guys are staying. So this announcement is good." He said back. The worry vanished as he said that.

"Well, what is it, lad? What is so important?" Teddy asked from where he was standing with Sacagawea.

"That's what I'm trying to get to. Don't you guys know what night it is? You guys should be working tonight." Larry said. That's when I realized we should have been. I was wrong earlier.

"All the days just combine. It doesn't matter if we're working or not. And it's not like we all actually have calendars to tell us what day it is." Katalina said making her point. I wonder if this is what she was like in Greece. Once she got used to everyone she is very vocal and shares her opinions. And is sassy sometimes.

"What are you saying Katalina?" Larry asked.

"That I never know what day it is. I just do whatever I'm told to do. Because for all I know it could be Thursday or it's Monday."

"You make a very good point. But guys were getting off-topic. My point is that the museum will be closed, morning and night for renovations." Larry said and everyone looked at him with horror and started tall all at once.

"Renovations?" I asked myself and Katalina. She smiled lightly at me.

"We don't know what the renovations are yet. They could be good." Katalina said.

"Gigantor we don't need any renovations. We're good just how we are."

"Guys I haven't even told what they are. They don't even affect you." Larry said trying to calm everyone down.

"If it doesn't affect us why is it this important?" I asked so he could hear.

"You guys aren't letting me finish. If you'd let me finish then you would understand." Larry said.

"But when renovations come that means someone is being shipped out. It's happened before Larry." Octavius said.

"Okay, I know I haven't been here as long as some of you, but renovations could be a really good thing. We don't know what these mean. Maybe someone new is coming?" Katalina said.

"Thank you, Katalina. And that's kind of what's happening. We are kind of getting new people."

"Kind of?" Multiple people asked at the same time.

"Now wait a minute here partner. How do you get kind of new people? Please don't tell us we're getting new people or things at are just part."

"No, what? No that's not the case. We're also adding."

"Adding? To the building?" Everybody said.

"Where? What part of the museum?" I asked.

"I think they're adding a hallway and roof over there," Larry said.

"So they're not taking anyone's place?" Octavius asked.

"No. Okay guys. Because I'm here I'm not going to let anything happen to you guys. You're my friends and I will stick up for you."

"Guys. We must let Lawrence finish what he is going to tell us."

"Φυσικά, αυτό θα λειτουργήσει. (Of course, that will work.)" Katalina said sarcastically. I smirked slightly from knowing what she said.

"Okay. That's not allowed. No speaking Greek, or Egyptian, or Latin, or French, especially during meetings in the lobby." Larry said. Now he's going to make Katalina mad.

"Larry Daley. I can speak whatever I want. Whenever I want. Because, Larry Daley, If I recall you telling me it is a free country, with freedom of speech," Katalina said glaring at him.

"Okay. Yes, you're right. And I'm sorry. But please? I didn't mean to make it sound as mean as it was said." Larry said.

"Okay. Then I am sorry for yelling at you."

"We good?"

"We're good," Katalina said.

"Now. Where were we? We got way off-topic."

"You had an announcement, and we didn't want to hear it because the last time there was one you left us, but then you said it was just renovations and that none of us are going to leave and you'll always stick up for us," Jedediah said.

"Thanks. But there is a quote from the Lorax that kind of fits." Larry said.

"What's a Lorax?" Katalina whispered to me.

"No idea."

"'I speak for the trees for the trees have no voices'. That's the quote. But what I'm trying to say is that I'll speak for you guys when you're not around during the day." Everyone was quiet now. "So you guys will stay here as long as I'm here. Now. Can I tell you about the renovations?" Larry asked. And some nodded but we stayed quiet.

"We are adding the observatory to the museum. And they will be a part of the alive at night part."

"That ain't so bad Gigantor. Why didn't you just tell us?" Jedediah asked him.

"Right, I don't know why I didn't think to do that," Larry muttered to himself.

"How is that going to work?" I asked thinking about my tablet and how it was going to affect the people for the observatory. What is an observatory?

"Do you guys know what an observatory is?" Larry asked us. Most of us shook our heads. "Okay, well it's a place where you can go to learn about the stars. And your tablet would bring the constellations to life and people can watch them. Like they watch and talk to you guys."

Finally, everyone seems to be okay with these renovations and nobody is upset. But now everyone is excited and can't wait. Or be quiet.

"I just can't wait to meet the constellations!"
