Ahkmenrah's POV
I walked to Katalina's room and opened the door and woke her up.
"Ahkmenrah? What are you doing?" She asked.
"Wake up and come with me," I said and helped her out of the bed.
"Είαι ττάρα ττολύ νωρίς για αυτό.(It's too early for this.)" She grumbled out but continued to follow me.
"You won't regret this." I led her away from the palace and towards the pyramid Khafre.
"Ahkmenrah where are we going?!" Katalina yelled at me upset. I stopped and turned to look at her. She was glaring at me but it was so adorable because she is tired too.
"I am taking you to the Pyramid Khafre. The stars are supposed to fall today." She looked confused and I continued to pull her towards the pyramid. We finally got there and I sat down and motioned for her to sit with me. As she sat I looked at the sky and tons of stars fell. "Look!" I pointed to the sky.
"Shooting stars." She said quietly. I looked at her confused.
"Shooting star?" I repeated.
"Yes, Ptolemy found out about them."
"Why do they fall?" I asked her. She shrugged.
"I do not know. Again only my brother." She said. I looked at her and kissed her. She smiled and we continued to look at the stars in silence for a while.
"Why is there pyramids?" She asked. "And why is it called what you said...Kahfer?"
"Khafre?" I asked correcting her. She nodded. "They are here for Pharaohs who have died before my rein. It protects them and keeps them close to the gods. And it is filled with many of his prized possessions and there are many traps to stop grave robbers." She nodded.
"And why called Khafre?"
"It is the name of a pharaoh before me. Pharaoh Khafre. I was not born." She nodded.
"How did you become pharaoh?"
"My father was the decedent of Ra the sun god. My father gave me the throne to take over when he died." She nodded again.
"The Gods are different here." I looked at her confused again.
"You do not worship Ra?"
"The sun God in Greece is Helios. He rides in his chariot and pulls the sun across the sky."
"Ra is the king of the gods."
"And in Greece Zeus is the king. It is not said he is but he controls the sky." We continued to compare the gods of Egypt and Greece. It is very interesting how we have very similar gods. I never knew there were more than the Egyptian Gods.
Katalina looks so pretty in this lighting now that she has woken up a little more. My thoughts were interrupted by her asking more questions.
"Will you have a pyramid?" I love how curious she is right now.
"No, I will not." She looked confused.
"Where will you go then?"
"Don't tell anyone but the one for my parents and for me is underground. Nobody else knows except the Priests." She nodded.
"And are we supposed to be out here?"
"I am not supposed to leave the palace without a guard. I am not allowed to leave the palace while it is dark." She faked a gasp.
"Ahkmenrah breaks the rules." I laughed at her quietly.
"When my brother and I were younger, and he liked me, we would sneak out all the time. Mother and father never liked that." She smiled at me and leaned her head on my shoulder. I kissed the top of her head. "You look beautiful with the moonlight." She straightened up and looked at me and kissed me.
We broke apart to breathe and as soon as we had enough air we kissed again and things started to get heated. I pulled her up off the ground and towards the palace.
We were a mess of kissing and breaking off the entire way back. We would stop walking and kiss with a lot of passion.
Finally, we got back to the palace and I stopped to let her stay in her room.
"Ahkmenrah. I want to stay with you." She whispered so we didn't wake anyone up. I nodded and led her to my room.
I quietly opened the door and led her inside and laid her on the bed. She looks so beautiful.
"Aphrodite will be looking upon us tonight." She said. I looked confused once again.
"And who is Aphrodite?"
"Greek Goddess of Love and beauty."
